This cabin and its location were beyond our expectations! The driveway wandered its crooked path .3 miles up to this charming cabin which set upon a grassy hilltop with incredible views of wooded land. The front porch is the perfect place to sit in the morning to enjoy the birds singing. At night we watched the fireflies as they put on a show for us. There are no neighbors in any direction to disturb the natural beauty. After hiking all day or horseback riding we enjoyed soaking in the hot tub on the back porch. We kept busy for a week finding different trails outside of the park after doing each area in Hocking Hills state park. We enjoyed home cooked meals at different restaurants in Logan for breakfast and dinner. Cherish came every 3 days to clean the hot tub and pick up trash if needed.

We had a wonderful long weekend at Blackwood Haven! It looked exactly like the pictures online and had all of the amenities as well. private, peaceful location within 15 minutes to most hiking trails. Would highly recommend this house to everyone looking for a fun, relaxing vacation.

Great place for a romantic weekend. Would definitely recommend the cabin for couples. Everything you need and more for a great getaway.

We had to rent a place close to home while our WiFi was out so we could work. We decided to look for a cabin with a hot tub to make it worth it! This place is amazing! Beautifully decorated, clean and brand new. I would highly recommend staying here. Also not too far for some groceries and needed supplies. Tons of stocked items, including firewood onsite for purchase.

Amazing place & hosts! Really enjoyed our stay and would come back again. Felt safe, and it was a nice and quiet area. Had everything you would need & hosts were quick with responses to any questions.

Location is secluded and in the woods. You can literally walk to Old Mans Cave straight from the property. Very quite and relaxing. So relaxing that you will not want to even leave and see any of Hocking Hills. I very much recommend this for anyone with pets. We are now back home and our dogs are longingly looking out the door to go back. The kitchen had everything you need. The owner Justin has thought of EVERYTHING. From dog toys and beds not just indoors but outdoors to making sure the human guest have everything. from bug sorry to games and movies. We would absolutely stay here again!

Cabin was very private and peaceful. Located close enough to the Hocking Hills State Park for the hiking and shopping at the local stores. The hot tub was great after a day of hiking. Cabin was equipped with everything needed for a pleasant stay. I would definitely recommend staying at this cabin.

Overall very nice place to stay for a fun gathering! It was a rainy weekend and still had tons of activities to do inside, the indoor pool was amazing and lots of fun. Air-conditioning worked really well for a large house. Kitchen worked well but some limited pan/pot options for cooking for a large number of people and needed to be cleaned up prior to using. The movie theatre basement is nice and fun for a movie night or games. Beds were comfortable enough for an Airbnb. Just a couple downsides/wear and tear that ideally could need fixed up: The air hockey table is held together with duct tape and doesn’t keep score anymore. No poker chips included with the table so we had to bring those along. All still usable just being a little picky for the price. Very responsive and nice host, overall enjoyed our stay for a bachelorette party and would stay again!

My girlfriend and I spent our anniversary weekend here where we also got engaged! By far the most relaxing and peaceful weekend we’ve ever spent together. Thank you Amanda & family for hosting such a nice stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay and found the place clean, inviting and the decor was perfect. The host was very responsive to any questions we had and it was a great stay all around!

Lovely cabin and location for a long weekend. Clean with enough towels, hand soap, garbage bags, and TP for our weekend (even left the TP we brought behind :) ). Little things like a dog dish so I didn't have to use ours and the solar light in front so you can see the cabin from the road at night are special touches. Location was nice as it was close to Logan for a quick dinner out or to grab food to make in the cabin, but far enough away that it was quiet and peaceful. Appreciated having some level of WiFi, but be warned it isn't enough to work from or use multiple devices - which was fine by me this weekend! We enjoyed playing games and cards and were only slightly sad to not be able to watch March Madness as easily as at home. My only wish for this cabin is to have a washer/dryer after a day of muddy hiking and playing in streams. Did I mention how clean it was when we arrived? Wonderful place to stay!

We had a great weekend stay at the Lazy Rooster! We loved the fishing pond, large outdoor space, fire pit, and hot tub. Would bring laundry detergent, paper towels, and TP. Would recommend this cabin to anyone! Cheryl was a great host — very responsive & accommodating!!

Wonderful little space

The cabin and atmosphere matched photos and descriptions to a tee. The location cannot be beat as it is within a short drive to a great town and natural hiking opportunities. We loved the hot tub, spacious bedrooms, and game area. This space was perfect for my friends and I to relax at the lodge at night and hike all day. Truly was a wonderful experience!

It was perfect for our trip. Very close to the lake. Exactly as described and the host was very nice.

The place is exactly as advertised. Very clean and in a relaxing secluded setting. The hosts communicated well and have put a lot of attention into the little details like lighting and labeling, making the stay stress-free. We had a great time spending the weekend with our two young kids.

5 of us girls, all family, stayed at Luke’s cabin for a little weekend getaway. The cabin was very comfortable for the 5 us. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. We brought food and water and everything else was provided for us.

Wonderful stay! This cabin was secluded from the other cabins on the property which provided a private and peaceful retreat! It was perfect for a weekend getaway - the hot tub was amazing, there were boardgames provided, and plenty of space to cook/enjoy a meal together. The property is about 20-30 minutes from key Hocking Hills attractions and restaurants/wineries and was an easy drive, even in the winter. My husband and I are considering making this an annual trip!

This was by far the best cabin stay I’ve ever had. Completely private and quiet. Had everything we needed in the cabin. Great for a family Of four . We brought our dogs and they had a blast . Fished for blue gill in the pond the whole time .

David's cabin was absolutely perfect for me and my wife. very private, had our own hot tub, and wooded backyard. About 40 minutes to Hocking Hills but the drive is beautiful and scenic. We will definitely be recommending this place to friends!

This was the perfect birthday getaway! We roasted marshmallows on the fire, relaxed in the hot tub for a bit, and played games the rest of the evening. The location was so convenient for us with horse back riding nearby! We had a blast and created beautiful memories that we will cherish forever! Thank you!
