Cosy cottage with fantastic views over the Loch

ReneeRating, 5 stars2 days ago
I can't say enough wonderful things about Fiona's cottage. The location is amazing with beautiful views from multiple areas of the cottage. It was so peaceful to sit and enjoy the fire while it rained outside. Fiona gave us a tour of the hunting lodge and background information on the estate as well. She was incredibly responsive and so nice. I wish we didn't have to leave.

Granny’s Cottage

IonaRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Granny’s cottage was a home from home, private but close enough to the local village if need to pop to the shop. Shelia was fantastic to deal with no hassle at all very accommodating to me and my family. The cottage was beautifully put together everything you need was there, lovely wee decking out the front of the house perfect for sitting in the morning or evening having refreshments. Definitely recommend would stay again

Lochside Lodge Pod

Lee-AnneRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We chose to stay here as part of our NC500 trip, opting to stay in Lairg to allow us to explore less touristy spots inland. The accommodation has everything you need for both short and longer stays, perfectly situated on the owners' property with direct access to Loch Shin, should the weather be kind enough to allow you to take a dip. The accommodation is immaculate and comfortable with cosy comforts. Hosts, Jamie and Fanja were welcoming, friendly and helpful guiding us on all things Lairg and felt if there was anything we needed they'd be more than happy to help. Highly recommend staying here, if anything it's a good break from the trail, cute little village and fabulous food at The Pier!

The Gate Lodge

KaiRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Great new addition to AirBnB! Everything as described and better. Perfectly and very welcoming prepared for our arrival. Bathroom is brand new. Everything has been spotless clean. Overall very cosy. Easy communication with a very friendly host. Potential proximity to NC 500 wasn‘t a factor at all, it was so quiet. Would love to stay here again!

Libertus Lodge. A secluded Cabin in Gorthleck.

ChristineRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Al built this fabulous lodge himself, it is simply stunning inside with glorious views of the countryside from the terrace, it is a tranquil and beautiful location. So quiet and peaceful, truly relaxing, very comfortable bed and stylish interior, spotlessly clean. Al was very helpful with his knowledge of the area and made us feel very welcome indeed, nothing was too much trouble. Spotting the deer and red kites along with a hare and lots of birds was great fun. Highly recommend, this is a very special place.

Seaside gypsy caravan retreat in the Highlands

LindsayRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Really cool place. The beach with tide pools is right across the street. The caravan is gorgeous and so cozy I slept great nested in the rich tapestries. The brand new bath a few steps across the yard is lovely and has everything you need including a fridge/freezer, snacks, artsy dishware… Emilie and Samir were very communicative and helpful, and I ended up needing help because I didn’t have a car. I thought there’d be buses from Tain up the peninsula but that didn’t end up being the case and the couple taxi drivers book out a day or two ahead of time. I ended up finding a private tour guide who picked me up, toured me around, and dropped me back in Inverness to catch a train back to Edinburgh. I was also able to hire Samir to take me on a tour of the peninsula, up to the lighthouse, around the Pict trail, and some other favorite views and historic spots. All in all this was a memorable stay I’ll always appreciate. Thanks Emilie and Samir!
