“An absolute delight, escaped away for 2 nights and everything about this place exceeded expectations. The views are exceptional and it’s the perfect place if you are wanting to disconnect and live somewhere rural. Definitely recommend.”
The Bothy is an authentic, traditional Highland dwelling, carefully restored to preserve its original features and character while providing essential facilities, warmth and comfort. A farmyard location in the midst of our highland home and in the heart of wild, romantic Perthshire, at the foot of the famous Schiehallion. Two miles from the village of Kinloch Rannoch at the head of the loch, the Bothy is an ideal base for outdoor adventures, observing wildlife or a relaxing escape from the city.
“The Bothy is a perfect retreat. Kate thought about all the little touches that made my (and the dogs') stay extra comfortable. Arrived to the fire on and Kate is very welcoming and friendly. The Bothy is beautifully decorated, incredible clean and super cosy, with all the firewood you could ask for! You should definitely opt for the breakfast! Perfect location. Schiehallion is on your doorstep, easy walks all around, and a great base for mountain and road biking. I'd booked with the intention to cycle, but with an injury, I was more than happy to stay indorrs and read by the fire. You're also so close to gorgeous villages such as Kinloch Rannoch and Pitlochry, which are always worth a wander around. I will happily return and would recommend Kate's Bothy to anyone who needs some fresh air and time out from their normal day to day routine.”
