Villa vacation rentals in Locarno District

Excellent value to stay in Mendrisio. The apartment is conveniently located near Villa Argentina and the hospital. It is an informal place that is great for exploring the area.

We had a wonderful stay at Palazzo Petraglio. The village is quaint, the house is spacious and well stocked and the view was breathtaking. We loved our base for the week. The kids had a football pitch and little playground 2 mins walk away, the village shop provided any necessities (incl local beer) and we had great living, diving and cooking spaces with spacious, rooms and comfortable beds. Etienne and Chantal were very helpful and it was a shame we had to leave before the village party started (someone knocked on our door to invite us to join them!). We had young children and grandparents and I can highly recommend a family holiday here - I wish we had more time there!

We really enjoyed our stay at Lance’s home. The place is beautiful and we enjoyed opening the windows and the views of Lake Lugano. We had a little trouble navigating the bus (you need bus 532 and the stop is Via Poiana). We did wish we’d had a rental car because it was not very walkable once you get outside of Riva S Vitale. We did do a couple of walking trips into town but there is no sidewalk on either side of the road which is quite busy at times. We enjoyed the paddleboards that were available (no life jackets). The beds were very comfortable but the street noise right outside of the home was loud at times. Nothing some ear plugs couldn’t alleviate for the lighter sleepers in our party. Lance was very helpful with ideas to enjoy the locale, very responsive to messages, and communicated in English very well. The only complaint we had was the lack of sidewalks to town (Riva) and the bus/fare schedule and purchase process. The SBB app is a good tool. We’d gladly stay again!

We are 7 friends and had a great time at this chalet. Everything is like shown at the photos, I would recommend this chalet.

Very nice house. Top location. Top view of the mountains. Magdalena was very responsive to requests. Lots of gardening around it. That's why sometimes lawn mower Noise. The road traffic further down can be heard in the morning. Nevertheless, it is then idyllically quiet in the evening and you have the evening seating area absolutely to yourselves. All in all, a great house with wonderful excursions into the surrounding area

We stayed at the villa for a week after Easter and had great weather! The children are hopped daily in the heated pool while we were able to enjoy our cafe and especially the fantastic view. You have absolute privacy and feel very comfortable. Ms. Bannwart, who manages the house, gave us some good restaurants tips at the beginning and she was immediately available for questions. We highly recommend a stay!

We had a fantastic week. The cottage was neat and tidy. Everything we needed was present. The pool was lovely. The view was phenomenal. Furthermore, delicious food in the village every night. Wonderful walks made. Other nice outings done in the area. Yum well equipped. Recommend.

We stayed at the villa with our 3 children during the autumn holidays for a week. It is the same as in the photos - a little outdated but everything is neat and clean. The weather was fantastic, so we could swim from our own jetty every afternoon and take the stand up paddle for a spin. The beautiful Morcote with the Park Scherrer are not far from the villa and are a must see. I highly recommend Angelo's villa!

Spent 4 nights over Xmas and really enjoyed the stay. Heating in main living area, bedrooms and bathrooms works exceptionally well, and bedrooms are all a really good size with own bathrooms. Location means it takes a while (about 15mins) to get into Lugano central but we knew that beforehand and the drive is very nice....hire car is a must! The honest shop within the house - that stocks essentials such as alcohol and chocolate - is also a welcome treat, especially given that prices match those of supermarket ! Finally, I have to say that the service throughout by Rita was fantastic. She answered any time of day and was extremely generous with her time...lovely lady. Would highly recommend this property which is a lovely small village!

House is high up. Up the streets are very curvy and narrow. But if you can enjoy the view, you are speechless. House is pure luxury. It was a very nice experience and we would be happy to come back.

Thanks to Sylvia for her very warm welcome, she is concerned about the comfort of her guests and puts her beautiful apartment at our disposal as well as her private pool. Great location to visit Lugano and its surroundings, we had a dream stay with an ideal setting.

Staying at Christina's was just amazing! The highlight was definitely the beautiful garden with the magnificent pool – a small oasis of well-being, perfect for relaxing. Everything was very well maintained, clean and designed with a lot of love for detail. The pool invites you to swim and relax in any weather, and the garden is a wonderful retreat. The accommodation itself was also well equipped, very clean and comfortable. Christina is a very friendly and helpful host. I can fully recommend the stay and would love to come back!

This was the perfect Airbnb-experience! The apartement is part of a stunning house whith a huge garden and a postcard-view over Lake Lugano. Vittoria and her mother were really nice and helpfull hosts. We can totally recommend this place - especially if you love dogs or even bring your own. Caroo and Cody sweetened our stay from morning 'till dawn. We hope to return soon :)
