had such a lovely stay at the little cottage. great spot to just relax and be in a secluded little sun trap away from any hustle and bustle. hot tub was perfection, garden is just perfect to sit and read our books and have some drinks, kitchen was easy to use and got the job done for cooking, shower was nice and hot and good pressure (sounds silly but i think the shower is always worth a mention!) bed was so comfy, best we’ve slept in weeks! really appreciate the sky box being included, great value for money here. big thanks to Lorraine!

Farthings - genuine Austen charm cottage & garden

BethanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This beautiful old cottage was an absolute treat to stay in for the weekend. Louise has thought of every detail, so we felt at home and had all we needed for our stay. Chawton is a gorgeous village and we did several of the activities that are local to it (Jane Austen's House, Chawton House, the Watercress Line steam train). The Greyfriars pub is a few doors down and we had a super evening meal in there (it was a busy Saturday night, so it was lucky that we'd booked in advance). Louise was very communicative and helpful and she very kindly allowed us to stay a little later on our day of departure. We loved our stay, thank you!

The Old Tractor Barn - Rural holiday accommodation

PaulRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Wow, what a place. Literally the best place we’ve stayed at so far. The house was lovely. More than enough space for us two. Was clean and very homely. Had a great intro pack with info on local area, walks and things to do, including Marwell zoo, which we enjoyed on the final day. The surroundings are amazing. Lovely walk in the woods at end of the property. Stunning. Farley mount, wildlife, peace and quiet. Lovely little garden to chill in. The kitchen was very well equipped, with everything I needed to make dinner each night. Including microwave, oven, induction hob, and all cooking equipment. That was important to us. Was nice to have all that. The driveway was big enough for both our cars, easily. Shower was fantastic, nice and big, and powerful. Bath was good too. I hope all this info is detailed enough for others to make the right choice, and book it also! Thank you Debbie, you are a great host, and look forward to staying again sometime. 10/10. Paul and Skye

Quaint Cosy Cottage in East Meon

We loved Emma’s cottage - cosy and comfortable. The village of East Meon is delightful with wonderful walks (Old Winchester Hill with its Iron Age fort and barrows is especially recommended). There is an excellent pub, and East Meon is a good base for visiting nearby places such as Winchester and Salisbury. Emma and her husband were very responsive. Highly recommended.

Homely Country Cottage -South Downs national park

CarolRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Very pretty little cottage located in quiet and secluded surroundings that came well equipped with everything you would need for a stay home from home. There's a great, dog friendly, pub just a short walk along the lane serving food plus the main town of Petersfield was just a few minutes drive away. There's also a wealth of interesting places to visit in the surrounding areas and towns. Check in and check out was super easy and Selina is a great host, with good communication. Also loved the little welcome pack of wine, biscuits and milk so could make a cup of tea on arrival.

Unique Cottage, Beautiful Views, Ascot, Windsor

IreneRating, 5 stars3 days ago
I’ve never felt so completely at ease, this house felt just like home. It’s warm, comfortable, and boasts an incredible countryside view. The nights were serene and quiet, and I always felt safe. The décor is cozy, and the place is well‑equipped. The host was always available and kind, promptly addressing my only two requests (and that’s because everything else was already perfect). The bedding is top‑quality, the kitchen has everything you could need, and the TV is large with excellent picture quality. After nearly 40 days, I’m feeling nostalgic about leaving. If I ever return to this area, I would love to stay in this house again. I can only express my heartfelt thanks—it was an absolute pleasure!

New Forest retreat "The Bothy"- Near Paultons park

ElsaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Allie's place was a hit with the entire family. Our 2 year old tremendously enjoyed running in the garden and playing with the old tractor that stood there. Allie gave us great pub recommendations nearby her property. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen fully kitted out for cooking. You need to follow Allie's exact GPS instructions on how to drive to her property (which is not what we have done) because network connection gets suddenly very poor in the vicinity of the property, so you can't rely on your phone anymore at that point. There is a good wifi connection once you arrive at the property.

The Stables, luxury country cottage nr Winchester

AnnaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed at The Stables for 5 nights. Marianne was an attentive and most helpful host. The accommodation was a lovely conversion with very tasteful décor and furnishings. All amenities were provided, as described in the AirBnB information. We loved the wood burner (only used once, as it was a warm week!) and the pretty garden setting for al fresco breakfasts. Local pubs to recommend are The Hampshire Bowman in the tiny village of Dundridge (we visited using the instructions on Walk 9) and The Brushmakers Arms in Upham (take the walk there, the views are amazing). Lots to see in the area, we travelled down to Portsmouth Dockyards, Beaulieu Motor Museum, Winchester and Gilbert White's house in Selbourne. A very relaxed and peaceful base for visiting this lovely part of the country. Highly recommend.

Quintessential Cotswold Cottage The Old Bakehouse

JacquelineRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
I and my guests absolutely loved our stay at Rosamund’s property. The property was a great place to enjoy slow mornings and evenings. We enjoyed the gorgeous views, the quiet of the village, and the cosy fireplace. We found the location to be a great base to explore the rest of the Cotswolds by foot and car. There are some great attractions both local and a little further out. Rosamund greeted us on our first night and gave us some amazing recommendations to avoid tourists traps. Outside of that first meeting we had complete privacy to enjoy the property - not that we wouldn’t have loved to bump into Ros again! I’d absolutely love to go back and stay again. I hope I will!
