Good place to stay for a little getaway

Absolutely perfect stay! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The space was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and stocked with everything we could possibly need. The host, Marie, went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, providing helpful recommendations. Marie made Christmas truly special for our family. The communication was seamless, and check-in/out was a breeze. The location was ideal – peaceful yet close to everything we wanted to explore. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would happily stay here again. Highly recommend!

Had a wonderful trip out to Sean’s place. The kids loved it and we would rent ago.

Great place to stay with kids and family. Large kitchen and eating tables. The whole family can dine together. The amenities were amazing. Pool, hot tub, trampoline, swing set, arcade, massage chair and outdoor bathroom and everything was working! Host was very responsive with any questions and needs. We had a great stay.

We loved The Nook. They created a special place with so many well thought out details in this home. We especially loved the coffee nook and the spaciousness of the home. Super clean and inviting. We loved it!

The home was absolutely as described. Lovely, cozy decor. Everything felt clean. The important things were updated (bathroom, carpets, etc), but all the charming character was left in tact. I would definitely recommend this place to others. Be aware the town is VERY small. Two small restaurants with limited hours. (The one we went to - Hometown Cafe - was great though.) While the house is near the lake, it wasn't a fishable area for us without a boat. Thankfully Eldon Hazlet park was only 15 mins away, so we got our fishing/ nature fix over there. The home was great to come back and relax in. We spent most of Sunday inside due to rain and it was still a very pleasant weekend!

Loved Janet's house! We were in town for a family event and we needed somewhere private and quiet to stay with our toddler. The house was plenty spacious for him to run around safely and every bedroom was big enough for his pack n play. Janet was very communicative and friendly. All of the instructions for checking on and out were clear. We had a great time and would highly recommend!

We had a great stay at the White Lotus. We loved being able to walk everywhere downtown and the view from the hot tub was beautiful. Everything was clean and tidy. It was a great stay, we would love to come back and are recommending the White Lotus to our friends.

Debi was a great host! Offered us an early check in so we could park our vehicle before going to our event. Very communicative and helpful! We loved the location and hope to book every year for our New Years Day sxs ride!

This is a beautiful home in a beautiful setting, perfect for family gatherings! VERY well supplied with everything you could ever need. Highly recommend, a trip we will always remember!

I used to live on Vandalia Lake, so I knew what to expect from the location - but the house is much nicer than pretty much anything else you'll find in Vandalia. It was the perfect place to spend the weekend while celebrating my granny's 82nd, and it's very likely we'll rent it again in the future, assuming it remains available for that purpose. The main living/kitchen/dining area is wide open and great for hanging out without feeling cramped, and the screened balcony/patio is a lovely place to enjoy the outdoors without being forced to "enjoy" the bugs. Everything is light, airy, modern, and well-maintained. This isn't one of those listings where the photos look great and the reality is worn and dirty - what you see is what you get.

The home was beautiful. It fit us nicely. Mitchell was super responsive and was even able to accommodate us for an extra night when our plans changed. We will definitely look to stay at the property again the next time we are in town.

We stayed here and it was big enough for our whole immediate family to go on a family vacation. The kids absolutely loved the games offered in the game room and us adults definitely used that massage chair after exploring every day we stayed. The house is really nice and the kitchen is absolutely beautiful. All the beds and couches were comfortable and every room has their own smart tv which made it easy for everyone to watch what they wanted at bed time. Definitely recommend and would stay here again ☺️

This is a great option in Taylorville - close to everything we needed during our time in town. Comfortable and clean place, decorated so nicely. Check in and check out instructions were clear and easy to follow, nice bright lighting over the entry door. Kitchen was well stocked with essentials (cookware, utensils, cups, plates, etc.)

This place is awesome Stay it’s a very quiet area clean would stay there again hands-down

Great house in quiet neighborhood. Not much in walking distance but well situated between the university and downtown. Clean and well taken care of.
