Thatched Cottage County Limerick

GraceRating, 5 starstoday
Jim’s cottage was the absolute perfect place for our visit. It was beautiful, clean and private - it was also very close to Doon, which we were visiting on a heritage trip. We made our way to Limerick one night as well, which was a relatively quick drive. Jim was friendly and responsive which helped us immensely as we were traveling in from the U.S. On our last morning, we were able to stroll the paths behind the cottage - it was beautiful! We would highly recommend staying here and hope we can make the trip back ourselves!

White Barn

MaggieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is a very clean and well appointed property, and for us, was the perfect spot to overnight and break our journey from West Cork for a relaxed onward journey to catch a lunchtime Dublin ferry. We found everything as described and it’s a pity our stay was so brief. The shower is particularly nice! Being some distance from the main road there is zero traffic noise, so you are assured a peaceful night. We enjoyed a short chat with Tom as we packed up to leave, he is sociable and informative, we’d have loved to talk for longer but the road ahead beckoned. We have already decided we’d definitely stay again next year and have no hesitation in recommending White Barn.

Luxurious Country Retreat

We were in Ireland for a family wedding and gathering of family from US and UK . Sandys house was just fantastic - so comfortable & spacious ,a clutter free and contemporary home - perfect for two small children and a mixed group of adult relatives. Would highly recommend as a base for touring the local area or further afield. Perfect to return to at the end of a busy day.

Two kayakers glide through still waters, with a partially ruined castle towering above the riverbank. Lush greenery frames the structure, while the sky is dotted with fluffy white clouds. The reflections of both the castle and kayakers are visible on the water's surface.

Renovated Traditional 6 Bedroom Country Farm House

JacintaRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Kay's house was as described, had all the mod cons, tv etc. Plenty of space to accommodate a large group or family. The house was very clean. It is in a lovely quiet setting and surroundings. House had everything we needed for a short or long term stay. Check-in was easy. Kay was a great host and very responsive to any queries we had. Lovely addition was having horses as neighbours, and a visit from JR the dog! Nice quiet location and easy to explore the area from there, by car. We would happily stay here again.

John’s Dairy - Boolakennedy Farm Cottages

JanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The view from the area of the lodge was amazing, very beautiful. Paul, the host was excellent, very friendly and pro active in all kind of services. Inside and outside the lodge possibilities to prepare food or just barbecue. The weather was also excellent, what is not always to experience in Ireland. We have been hiking in the environment, beautiful surroundings. The beds were excellent, good night rest. We will surely return here. Cheers, Jan

Quiet place near Glenbrohane, Ballylanders and Kilfinane. Definitely good for guests who like outdoor activities. John and Barbara were very helpful. As the accommodation is at the back of their property it felt very safe.
An open plan living area features a high timber ceiling, creating a spacious ambiance. A solid fuel stove serves as a focal point, surrounded by a cozy arrangement of soft seating and a wooden coffee table. Walls display artwork, enhancing the overall environment.

Stables, Illaumeen, Tipperary Town, Co Tipperary

Pat was a great host. Unfortunately, we were only on a flying work visit to the area, one overnight stay, so we did not have time to visit any of the local attractions. However, we did dine in a local restaurant recommended by Pat and it didn't disappoint.
