Located in scenic Avery County, secluded yet close to town, Alpenhaus is located at over 4000 ft. The house features 2 enclosed decks and is surrounded by woods on 3 sides. Wake up to green trees outside your bedroom window or watch the sunrise reflected on the mountains. Look out for foxes as you enjoy breakfast on the south facing deck. In autumn, watch the leaves change from green to hues of red and gold. Enjoy a game of golf at Mountain Glen Golf Club or take a short drive to Grandfather Mountain or Linville Falls, drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway or go hiking or rafting, see the stalactites at Linville Caverns and then come back to appreciate the sunset from the living room window. In winter, enjoy a day of skiing or sledding at nearby Beech Mountain or Sugar Mountain. Jonas Ridge Snow Tubing is also nearby. Return home, build a snowman and enjoy the gas log fireplace which takes the mountain chill off the evenings.
