We have restored an ancient bread oven on our little farm to make a cosy retreat in a quiet corner of the Dordogne. The kitchen and bathroom combine modern fittings with ancient beams and stonework while the comfortable sitting room features a log burning stove and the original paddle for the old bread oven, found when we started the renovation work. It is an ideal base for an active holiday (many options nearby)but the nightlife consists of sharing the stars with the owls and a bottle of wine.

Le logement se situe à la ferme, dans une exploitation de vaches Aubrac et Chevaux d'Auvergne. Il est aménagé dans la maison familiale mais est complètement indépendant. A 10mn vous retrouvez le plateau de l'Aubrac, ses paysages, ses randonnées et ses spécialités gastronomiques et artisanales, au nord vous pouvez aller dans les Monts du Cantal et découvrir les espaces des montagnes. Tout près du logement les stations thermales vous offrent un moment de bien-être à la montagne.

Notre ferme est située dans un petit village isolé idéalement placé sur les chemins de randonnée ( De village en barrage, Chamina..) ainsi qu'a proximité ( 10km) de Bort les Orgues , de son centre aqua-récréatif et de sa plage 5km. Nous sommes aussi au carrefour entre trois départements , la Corrèze , le Cantal et le Puy de Dôme , vous aurez donc le choix pour vos excursions touristiques et sportives (canoë, ski, vélo)

Dans un corps de ferme typique quercynois, le gîte vous attend niché dans un vallon verdoyant à deux pas de la Vallée du Lot. Nous sommes à cheval entre Quercy et Rouergue, à quinze kilomètres au sud de Figeac et au nord de Villefranche de Rouergue. Des sites comme St Cirq Lapopie, Rocamadour, les Bastides du Rouergue, Najac, Conques, Rodez sont accessibles en moins d'une heure.
