There were four of us; my husband, our son (15 years), a friend of our son (15) and myself. We were warmly welcomed by Alexa and felt right at home in the beautiful home. The layout of the house made it easy for us (in addition to cozy moments together) to retreat if we needed it. Because the beach, boulevard and shops were easily accessible, this gave us a lot of freedom. For us, this in total made this the ideal holiday destination. We have enjoyed it! Thank you Alexa!

We had a lovely stay at Eric and Valerie's place. The neighborhood is great, good location and the accommodation is really nice, especially the terrace. Parking is easy, which is also very convenient when you have small children. Eric and Valerie are very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend it 100%.

There's no better welcome than the one we got from Evelyne. His cottage is extremely well kept and very well-equipped. We highly recommend it.

We had a great stay with our two children. The area is very peaceful, I had the pleasure of walking / running around the nearby lake - it's a big plus :-) The stay went impeccably and we even ended with a BBQ on our private terrace. Excellent stay in a very well-appointed and maintained apartment. Everything is designed to make you feel at home. Close to the thalassotherapy and the seaside. Very quiet neighborhood. Parking space in a very nice private courtyard. We would 100% recommend this listing. Thank you

We had a great time. Very comfortable apartment and good location. The activities at Lake Bourgenay were great for the kids. Only downside but not within Mireille's jurisdiction, the large slides of the pool were closed "because low season". However, the pool was very busy, which is a shame. But the pool water had the merit of being heated. The mini golf nearby is very nice. We also enjoyed the electric boats, the welcome in the restaurants and the nearby beach. To be repeated!

Beautiful accommodation, authentic, no fuss, everything is planned for a pleasant stay. Lots of attention for children with board games for all ages, costumes, outdoor games. 35 minutes from Puy du Fou, 50 minutes from Les Sables d'Olonne... We appreciate the basic necessities to be immediately comfortable (laundry, soap, groceries, enough to have lunch...) as well as the beds made. We also appreciate the opportunity to go and see the animals, pick a strawberry or collect an egg... Great value for money!!!

Monique's house exceeded all our expectations. If you wanted peace and quiet then Chateau-Guibert is the place for you. The house is set in beautiful gardens with a wonderful view of the small fishing lake. There are no shops - only a baguette dispenser! - but Mareuil sur Lay Dissais was only about 5kms away by car. This was a charming village. The pool at the house made it as the coast is about an hour's drive away. We did go to La Rochelle and Les Sables D'Olonne and the coast inbetween, all about an hour's drive away as well. The house itself was extremely comfortable and very well kitted out - there was everything you could possibly need and more. Several different seating areas outside as well. Monique could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. It was a delight to meet her. We would highly recommend this holiday home, and would be very happy to return here.
