Amber Lodge with private hot tub

HonorRating, 5 stars7 months ago
The perfect stay! We had a fab time in Amber Lodge and it was kitted out with everything you’d need - the kitchen was super well equipped. The hot tub was a huge bonus and lovely place to chill out in the evenings. The beds were all really comfortable & everything was spotless when we arrived. Farmer Vic was lovely & helped us out when we arrived. Plenty of parking & easy to get to. We had SO much fun meeting all the animals (even as a group of eight 25 year olds) and thought the lodge was a perfect base to visit Bakewell and the surrounding areas! Can’t fault anything and would highly recommend this place.

Large barn 6 bedrooms - countryside & character

AnnRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We were really impressed with the place. There was plenty of crockery and cutlery and the pans were all useable. The fridge and freezer space was substantial. The property is in the middle of the countryside and that is what I loved about it. The water pressure in the showers was great.

Myself and three friend's stayed at Janes as we wanted to do a motorcycle tour of Derbyshire. The cottage is ideally located for that with off road parking . The cottage it self is lovely and homely. I especially liked the conservatory to sit and relax in. The cottage had everything we needed and jane even provided some basics to get us started on our arrival, milk, bread etc. Jane was friendly, easy to contact, about when you needed her but otherwise left us alone to enjoy our stay. 100% recommend Jane and her cottage.

Light, spacious modern home in lovely Wirksworth

GabriellaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My mum and I had a perfect couple of days in Vicky’s home - which is just as lovely as the pictures show. Vicky got in touch with us as soon as we booked and all her instructions / directions were clear and accurate. It was a real privilege to stay here and we’d 100% recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in the Wirksworth area. Sitting and enjoying breakfast looking over the fields behind was a real highlight and something we’ll miss now we’re home!

Unique static boat on the Trent

PeterRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a lovely time staying on the boat. Sharon was really helpful from start to finish. Everything was set up for our stay and we had a great time. This trip was myself, my brother, and my Dad, so two of us used the bedrooms and one of us slept on the sofa bed in the living room. There were ample blankets, cushions, and pillows for all three beds. The amount of space on the boat was great for us. I think three single people was the right amount for the boat, or four people if they were both couples. We entertained ourselves with food and drink on the picnic bench above the deck, and watching TV below deck. There was a strong WiFi signal and the streaming services on TV worked fine. Being on the Trent meant it was easy to go for a walk. We must have covered 8 miles on Saturday, along the River and into a couple of villages. All in all, we had a great time and would love to stay again on the future.

Great rural base for 4 golfers each with our own bedroom, situated within fifteen minute drive of some of the best heathland golf courses in the uk. A good choice of restaurants / pubs even closer with some walkable. Amelia was a great host explaining everything we needed to know to make our stay a real pleasure, making herself readily available but thereafter just left us to enjoy our break. Would have no hesitation in returning or recommending to friends.

Hope Terrace Matlock Bath Sleeps 8 in 4 Bedrooms

BeverleyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
1 Hope Terrace is an absolute gem. In a peaceful location yet within walking distance of Matlock Bath centre, it made a great base and was really handy for us to attend a weekend event at the Grand Pavillion. Helen's communications with directions, about the parking space (an added benefit) and the key safe were excellent. The house itself is tastefully decorated with quality furnishings, comfy beds with cotton bedding and feather duvets etc all lovely, and everything is spotlessly clean. Kitchen facilities, dishwasher, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils all good and we enjoyed making frothy coffees from the coffee machine with the pods provided. The little area to sit outside at the front is an added benefit. Also, thank you Helen for the treat of the cake! All in all a great stay, highly recommended.
