Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Le Buisson-de-Cadouin

Everything you hope for in a AirBNB/ Gite in France! We stayed one week with our teenage kids this October. The house is old but has every comfort needed including a large fire place and a washing machine. The atmosphere is right and every room is decorated in a unique way. The garden is large with lots of places to sit, lounge and a table to have breakfast, lunch and even a bbq for dinner. We spend lots of time in the hot tub and at the very nice heated pool. Pascale is a wonderful host, she waited for our late arrival, she had snacks and even breakfast for us to get started, she provided nice bathrobes and towels for the pool, had great local recommendations and was always available for a chat. The place is a little secluded but that was just right for us. Lot’s of fields and forests with plenty of wildlife, we did lots of long hikes with the dog. And for a visit to the market, a restaurant, castles, etc most places are less than 30 minute drive. Highly recommended!

Christiane's apartment is in a beautiful location and is well placed for visiting numerous attractions in the Lot and the Dordogne. The apartment is spacious and very well equipped. Christiane was a superb hostess. She gave us a very warm welcome, explained everything to us carefully and was extremely helpful. I can wholeheartedly recommend both Christiane and her apartment.

Christiane is an attentive and accommodating host. Communication is easy. Recommended

Evelyn and Noel are wonderful hosts. Very service minded and friendly. The room was very cosy and clean. A wonderful surprise was the early breakfast they organised for us before our long drive back home. Freshly baked cookies, divers Sandi witches, a warm cup of coffee and tea, fresh fruit & juices. See you next year!

Stunning place to stay with lovely pool although we didn’t use it as we were so busy out sightseeing. The house is beautiful and the fresh breakfast provided daily was excellent. Both hosts were extremely helpful in suggesting places to visit. There is so much to do in the area and wished we could have stayed longer. I highly recommend a stay here. It would have been nice if the bar in the village had been open in the evening and as long as you are prepared to drive there are lots of places to eat nearby.

We arrived, my 2 sons and I, on motorcycles earlier than expected and were hosted very well by Odile. The motorcycles were parked in the garage. We ate the Périgord menu prepared by Odile which was excellent, quantity and quality. We slept well, the bedding is comfortable. Breakfast was perfect too. Thanks Odile

We really enjoyed our stay. Christophe was very friendly and we enjoyed our visit with him on the terrace. A nice breakfast was provided that we really appreciated. We were able to park our motorcycle right in the enclosed yard. Thank you to Christophe and his wife for sharing their lovely space!

Emmanuelle is very friendly and provided us with her breakfast room for dinner because many restaurants were closed. The room is very nice and the breakfast is delicious and hearty (fresh bread and croissants, brioche, fruit etc.) A beautiful place, quiet, to visit the surrounding sights and cities.

Very good stay in a beautiful comfortable building. The pool is nice because it's hard to find swimming areas nearby. Good advice and discussions on places to visit (heritage and gastronomy) in our short stay. Frankly, we recommend it!

We were so thrilled to stay at Maison O'Galop. The views from the windows overlooking the river were breathtaking, and relaxing in the garden every evening watching the hot air balloons go by was a highlight. The cars going by were louder than expected, so bring ear plugs or a sound machine if that would bother you, especially if you want the windows open like we did. The house was spotless when we arrived, although it smelled musty, like no one had been there for a while. After a day of the windows being open, the smell disapated, but a few of us had some allergies because of that. It's an old place, so I imagine that's not unusual. The doors took some practice to lock and unlock. Maybe they are common French locks, but we are American and it took us a while to figure it out. The kitchen was stocked with tools (not food) we needed for cooking simple breakfasts and dinners, including a toaster and microwave oven. A dishwasher was also appreciated. Would love to come back!

Impeccable guest room and Brigitte is very attentive to her guests. Breakfast is very good with warm bread and croissant. Brigitte's family is welcoming. The room is spacious and very clean. The house is located in the countryside in a very relaxing setting. I’d stay again

We had a short stay of 3 days at Claire and Marc's estate. Everything was perfect from start to finish: the estate with the pool and spa, the well-equipped and arranged studio with stunning views on a cow field where the sun sets, beautiful! But also the meal we could have had one night. We enjoyed ourselves! A big thank you to Marc and Claire for their hospitality and kindness. We were super well received. We will come back without hesitation to finish our visit to the Dordogne 😁 See you soon!

We received a very interesting tour of the place. The room matched the description. The bed was comfortable. The very hearty breakfast. In short, I highly recommend it.

We were welcomed by our hosts like members of the family. We were treated so kindly from the moment we arrived. We were hoping for a short quiet rest from a motor tour of France. We received a mini retreat, nothing was too much trouble and many things provided were above and beyond. I’m excited to return and visit Delphine and Geoff as they commence the next chapter at Maison Cistus.

Chris was an excellent host; very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The rooms in this beautiful converted watermill are spacious and comfortable. We stayed in the family suite which was ample room for 5 of us. Breakfast was superb with a selection of delicious local pastries. It was a wonderful place to stop for a night, wish we could have stayed longer!
