A vintage poster depicting Zermatt's Cornergrat showcases vivid colors against a backdrop of mountains. The artwork is framed and mounted on a wooden wall, which provides a warm, natural contrast. A modern lamp stands nearby, contributing to the space's design.

It was great, we were able to put on our skis right in front of the door and drive to the lift and also come back right in front of the door :) We really enjoyed our time here and were even greeted with a sweet surprise by the very likeable hostess. Thank you.

Stadel. Small chalet with balcony/garden

SarahRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Markus’ cabin is a peaceful retreat in the mountains. We loved having our meals on the balcony with that incredible view! WOW! The drive to the cabin is a fun adventure! We really appreciated Markus’ suggestions for hikes. We especially loved the Bisse du Ro and the Gala Gorge (hike along the Gala River above Leukerbad). Also, Buljes restaurant on the Gorge hike is a treat. The setting is incredible and food very good! Don’t miss that hike! The Valais area is a very special place in the world—old hill towns, spectacular scenery, and kind people. The hiking is endless! Loved being there!

The exterior of a traditional wooden chalet features green shutters and vibrant red flower boxes under each window. A neatly landscaped garden with plants and a picket fence adds charm. The mountain backdrop is visible, complemented by scattered clouds in a blue sky.

Hentschenzube

My husband, granddaughter and I stayed for 3 nights. We all wish it had been longer. We loved it! Great things to note are: Amazing shower pressure, and it immediately warms up. A really good-sized fridge with a freezer, so you can bring home ice cream from the nearby COOP grocery store. Lovely dishwasher, espresso maker, and drip coffee maker. Fully stocked kitchen. Convenient washing machine in the huge bathroom. I think the bathroom was my favorite bathroom of any Airbnb I've stayed at. Views views views! A super fun activity was taking the Niesen Funicular (Niesenbahn) up to the tippy top of the nearby mountain peak. It was only a few minutes from Martin's chalet. We could watch the funicular go up and down the mountain from one of the enclosed porches. When you get to the very top, there is a 360 degree vista, plus a restaurant with plenty of choices for the whole family. I highly recommend Martin's chalet and would stay again in a heartbeat!
