Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Lanark Highlands

Our stay was more than we could have asked for. This Airbnb is a hidden gem. We’ve been to many Airbnbs all over the world, and I can tell you this one is really special. The garden is very spacious, with friendly little cows in the background. The inside is also spacious thanks to the beautiful high ceilings. The decor and original church aesthetic they kept makes you feel at home. The outdoor annex for extra guests is so cozy and cute!! it really comes in handy if you are more than two. This Airbnb truly has everything a household needs, from bug spray to doggy bags. We’re usually honest and critical about Airbnbs, and we don’t shy away from pointing out things that could be improved, but with this one, we truly have nothing bad to say. We would come back in a heartbeat!

We had a lovely stay at Braden’s place. The home was a perfect gateway for 2 people. Big plus for having plenty of firewood for the guests to use. The home was clean & had all the amenities for a great relaxing stay.

This is our second time staying at the station, and it's jiust as magical as the first. A beautiful home in beautiful surroundings, quiet, green, and comfortable. Grat just as a place to have a lazy weekend with the kid playing in the freight room, or as a base to explore the lakes, hikes and towns. Definitely hope to be back!

We had a great stay in Monica's space! It was comfortable, cozy, and quiet, and the kitchen and bathrooms especially had a thoughtful selection of items you might need while on a trip. When we needed something during our stay, Monica was proactive and helpful. She's also kind and friendly, and she communicated with us while we were there to make sure we had everything we needed. The home itself is walking distance to the downtown area, and it was great to be able to explore the cute shops on foot. We really felt the hospitality and would stay again!

This was my third time staying at this air bnb. It’s beautiful and the neighbourhood is lovely. We go to the Nordik spa and it’s a nice quick drive. There’s a cute cafe not far we had breakfast at. I highly recommend this air bnb.

If anyone is looking for the perfect getaway spot with family and friends, this lovely river retreat has it all!! Gorgeous property, loads of space for guests to gather together or all have their own little small magical experiences. This home has everything that could be asked for. Location was easy to find and access, yet felt fully private and removed from the rest of the world. This place is set up for entertaining and relaxing, I was impressed from the moment we opened the door. The house is spacious, airy, and incredibly comfortable. Everyone felt right at home. The kitchen was fully stocked, whatever you can think of was there, and the bedding and furniture were so fresh and comfortable. Extras everywhere! Our hostess Julie was amazing to communicate with. From our very detailed access instructions, to responding quickly to any questions, she made this weekend a phenomenal one. Julie has created a riverside oasis for any group big or small, and we would happily come back!

We rented for 2.5 months And we enjoyed every minute of the place! Lovely surroundings, quiet, enjoyed great fires, Watched the skies and saw the northern lights, falling stars, beautiful spot! A very cozy place, lots of room inside and out. Had the kids out for a visit and walked the beautiful scenic road to Wheelers pancake house and enjoyed their museum as well Thank you for the opportunity to rent your lovely home and treating us so well 😊

We had a wonderful stay! Their Airbnb was immaculate and had so many extras just in case we needed anything, it was truly above and beyond :) I actually got ready for my wedding here with my bridesmaids and Erin & Sadiq were super flexible in allowing my hair and makeup artists to come into the space too. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area!

We had a lovely three night stay at this adorable apartment. Perfect spot to walk around, things to do, great parking situation. The interior was just as lovely with a big bed. Will absolutely be returning!

We've stayed at many vacation homes and this one was especially comfortable. Everything in the apartment is well appointed and it's in a great location. Walking distance to the bike trail, to a new beach and to a main street with pub's and restaurants. We loved the Westboro neighborhood. Thank you!

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Marina's place. It's in a great up and coming neighborhood and very close to the river, which has beautiful, clean and safe trails that take you all the way downtown along the river. The apartment is exactly as described and very clean, with a very modern kitchen and bathroom. The bed is a little small (I thought it was supposed to be a queen but looked more like a double and unless you are cozying up to someone, it's not for 2 people). But there were extra sheets and blankets in the closet and the couch was also quite comfortable. The only strange thing which I didn't realize was that this apartment is a sectioned off portion of the main house turned into it's own apartment and the owner lives in the main house.

We traveled to the area for a family visit, and stayed at Patrick's place for the first time. We loved the location, the cleanliness of the place - but mostly Patrick's responsiveness to a minor issue we had. Knowing our host would tend to our concerns was a big relief - we would definitely stay again on our next trip.

Such a beautifully decorated place incredibly close to all that Byward and centre town have to offer but on a relatively quiet street. Mylaine was one of the most responsive, reasonable and kind but not disruptive hosts I've ever worked with. Would not hesitate to stay here again whenever I'm in Ottawa.

Nice place in a quiet neighborhood. Lots of rooms for a group. Beds are comfortable. Peaceful place, felt like home. Easy to find, a lot to do around. The spa and pool table was a +. Would definitely go back !!

Multiple bedrooms helpful when coming with a large family and needing space to sleep and rooms to hangout

We had a great stay! The host was very kind and even welcomed us with a bottle of wine, which was a lovely touch. The house was clean, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. The fireplace added a cozy feel, and the location was perfect, just 10 minutes from Parliament Hill! If we’re ever back in the area, we’d definitely stay again.

I booked the entire Kokomo Inn for my birthday which was New Years Eve for my friends and I! it was a trip centred around visiting the Nordic Spa so the location was perfect as it was peaceful, warm and inviting. We were warmly received by the hosts who had the fire roaring for us and a fully stacked kitchen. what a joy! Everyone had a great sleep and the morning breakfast prepared by the hosts was delicious and so thoughtfully presented! will be coming back every time I'm staying in the area!

We had an unforgettable experience during our stay and look forward to returning next year. The island was beautiful, the many different houses accommodated our large group and each family of the 5 that went had their own space to unwind. The kitchen was beautiful and made meal prep and cooking so easy. The kida had lots to do with basketball, board games, mini pool tables, hot tub and the highlight was definitely the swimming. The water was great, warm and clear at any given time during the day and the kids had so much fun jumping off the docks, using the paddle boats and the canoes. We all had such a great time and are so thankful to Marla and Sherri-an employee who helped us when we checked in and checked out- Sherri was a great help, kind, friendly, hospitable and even recommended a different cottage with less steps for next year that I will definitely look into because it was a beautiful experience. Don't think twice about booking your stay here my family and I loved it!

Our second time here for a retreat. What drew us back was the good value and ample space. Highly reccomend.

This is our second year staying with Moe for a team gathering for our work. Five individuals stayed the night and a number of individuals gathered for an evening meal and for a work session during the day. Moe was very accommodating of our request. The space is well suited to the capacity listing for AirBnB, however, you will need to wash the dishes after one meal so a few more dishes would have been appreciated (10 place settings). We had a few questions for Moe during our stay and he was incredibly responsive and was able to resolve our questions. We were not looking for somewhere centrally located. The location has a lot of parking nearby and a range of restaurants (we ordered in from a Thai place). It is walking distance to Conroy Pit, which is a popular off leash dog park. It is also walking distance to a park with a nice playground for families. We would gladly stay again. Thanks Moe!
