West Auchenhean, Rosie's Cottage

FlorenceRating, 5 stars1 month ago
My friend and I chose this cottage for a quiet getaway with our dogs and it was just what we hoped it would be. We were welcomed by Barbara and Graeme upon arrival and they were very kind and helpful if we had any queries at all. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. The views from the bedrooms were stunning and there were plenty walks nearby the property, which were especially lovely in the evening with the sunsets. It was the perfect scenic escape we needed. Thank you Barbara and Graeme (and Rosie the golden retriever of course!).

Beautiful spacious country cottage with Hot Tub

EileenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A very beautiful cottage in a private setting. We were met by George on arrival. George was very friendly and informative. We instantly felt right at home. Welcome basket on the kitchen table was a lovely touch. We settled in very quickly and with ease as parking was right outside the cottage. We enjoyed the very clean hot tub in the evenings after our busy days out as well as excellent carryout deliveries. Quality of food was very good. Another highlight was watching the various types of birds feeding, which we could see from the kitchen table and seating area. Especially the Woodpecker which made a regular appearance. We all enjoyed a truly relaxing break in very comfortable and private surroundings. Our check-in and check-out was effortless. Thank you George and Amanda, we will certainly be back.
A hot tub is visible, featuring bubbling water and situated on a deck surrounded by greenery. In the background, a two-story building is seen with various rooflines, while afternoon light illuminates the scene.

Spacious house with simply stunning views of Arran

KerryRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My family and I stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate my dad’s 60th birthday. The house was great, very spacious with everything you need. Great surroundings and most beautiful views over the sea. Lovely walks around about. And a really nice restaurant just a 5 minute walk away called the Anchorage, the food was 10/10. Everyone really enjoyed the trip here and we’d definitely love to visit again.

Country Escape with Sea Views, Ayr, Ayrshire

LeonieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Clare’s place was simply amazing! It is beautiful and well thought out. It has everything you need to feel right at home. We cooked some meals for our kids and the kitchen was well equipped for everything we made. The animals and wildlife around the house was an added bonus and kept the kids very entertained, along with the little play area to the side of the house. We will definitely be back if we were in this part of the world again :)

Beautiful property - spacious house for 8 of us. Provided everything we needed, including towels, robes, tea/coffee and much more. Even gave us a welcome gift which was lovely! Highlight was definitely the hot tub and sauna which was relaxing and well needed after a hike up Ben Nevis. Very responsive hosts and always checking in to make sure everything was okay. Will definitely return again if back in the area! Thank you so much! 🫶🏽

4 Bed in AYR (90038)

AnitaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We booked this cottage as a meeting place for family coming together for a wedding in Ayr. Half from Buckinghamshire in England and the other half flying in from Austin Texas. Youngest 25 and eldest nearly 90! The accommodation was a perfect fit for us all. Plenty of space to spread out. Gorgeous, peaceful outlook to sit and watch the wildlife or to take a stroll along the path to the front of the property. Local restaurant The Holly Bush is very close, with wonderful views. Food was delicious and the owner super friendly and welcoming. Dumfries House is well worth a visit. With its free gardens to explore and take in nature. Plenty to keep all ages entertained. We also visited the beach at Maidens. Paddled in the sea, strolled along the pathway to take in a drink at the Ropes Bistro. A visit in to Lagg, another stroll along the seafront and a stop for tea and scones at Nardini's which is best known for its Ice Cream. Loch Doon Castle is worth a visit to take in the scenery alone.

House with private hot tub and views of west coast

MelanieRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We absolutely loved our stay here, the hot tub made it even better. Place was immaculately clean, no faults what so ever. Basic kitchen equipment which is all you need for a few days away. Plenty of restaurants, take aways and shop within the area if you’re driving so was able to have the option there if we fancied. Access was easy and it was easy to find, we both liked how it wasn’t on a public road etc and it was so peaceful at night. We were lucky to be able to see a sunset on our first night and that was fantastic, being able to be in the hot tub and have those views was just unreal. Even on our second night the weather wasn’t the best we still loved every minute of it. We cannot recommend this enough, we will definitely be back! Thank you both again

Yewtree Cottage - 'The Art House' and Garden

PeterRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Great small cottage as a base for exploring the Dunoon area, we had a lovely day at Benmore Gardens and a great trip over to Loch Lomond and Arachar. The cottage is compact but has everything that you need with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge and bedroom. Top tip is to buy your tickets before getting on the ferry over from Gourock, if you’re coming that way as they charge a fortune if you buy on- board!

The Wee Cottage by the Ferry

LucyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Such a lovely little cottage, perfect to get away for a small family or couple, it is “wee” but the space is used so efficiently, it is so comfortable & cosy & homely. Such great value especially considering breakfast was included which you don’t come across on Airbnb much! Kevin was a great host, helpful & responsive. Nice location for coastal walks & ferries to the islands or going to Loch Lomond. Great place to bring the dogs. Beautiful views in a peaceful location. We went on a bank holiday & there weren’t many food options on the Sunday, something to be aware of as the town is quite small, but we found somewhere and it was lovely so all round very happy!

Had a wonderful stay in picturesque Lamlash, the cottage was a perfect base for exploring the island. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We ate at the Drift inn for two nights which we booked online. We loved sitting out at the front of the cottage in the evening watching the world go by. We will definitely return! 😊.

Really lovely place to stay with fabulous views. It was our 1st Wedding Anniversary and Audrey had left a card with a single red rose which was a really thoughtful thing to do. Fresh flowers were in the kitchen as which was a nice touch. The water went off due to a burst somewhere down the line and Audrey communicated immediately, plus there was plenty of bottled water in to use so it wasn't an issue. Overall, a beautiful place to stay, clean and a great base for exploring the island.

Joanne's place was a peaceful retreat for 2 people with beautiful views over to Arran. The accommodation was very well equipped in the kitchen and the double bed was very comfortable. The main bathroom was a good size too. It was nice to be off grid for a while and we felt benefits of quality downtime in the house. 10m away you have your perfect spot for a morning dip and within a short walk you have a small hotel with friendly locals for company.

We stayed at this house last June and it was so good we booked the same week again this year! Very comfy house, and a great location. The conservatory means you can enjoy the beautiful view whatever the weather and Lamlash is a great base to explore Arran. Highly recommend eating at the Drift Inn which is just opposite the house and again has gorgeous views as well as delicious food and friendly service. You will need to book as it’s very popular!

The best experience we ever had when booking an AirBnB. Caroline and Stephen were such fantastic hosts, the cottage was so cozy and comfortable, Caroline had thought of everything to make our stay perfect. When we arrived, she offered us breakfast hamper full of delicious things, fresh bread, croissants, pains au chocolates, fresh berries etc. That was the perfect fit for a cottage breakfast. Definitely a place to recommend and to come back! Thank you so much - it was great to stay here!

A wee peaceful week away, with 2 days at the folk festival in Brodick. Had 2 gorgeous meals in Corrie at Mara fish bar. Excellent seafood. We cooked most nights at home, visiting Arrans butcher, great rump, and accommodation was perfect for dining, and nights in, relaxing. Our neighbours next door were exceptionally friendly, and helpful, which was welcomed from the heart. Sadly back home now to reality. 🙄 Great Stay.
