Cabin vacation rentals in Lake Vermilion

We really enjoyed our time at the cabin. It has a beautiful lake view and was very clean, well stocked and nicely decorated. It is in the perfect location right on the lake yet just a quick drive into Ely.

We loved staying at this cozy cabin for memorial weekend. My boyfriend and I kayaked, fished, grilled, had a fire and played board games. The home was clean, well maintained and perfect for a couple. This was one of the best, cleanest, quality Airbnbs we have stayed in. Bob and Cindy were incredibly kind and helpful. Thank you for letting us stay and we hope to be back!

Our stay at Crane Lake was great! Everything was as described. Mike and Angie were amazing hosts. The garage space was so great for our kids and they loved hanging out there. The dock space was amazing and lots of good fishing right off the dock. The paddle boat was a big hit with my kiddos. We would definitely come back again!

We had a fantastic weekend and are so glad we chose this cabin! Easy parking and a quick snowmobile ride from shore, and we especially appreciated the flexible check-in, check out, and responsive communication before and during our stay. The space was comfortable and had a lived in feel, like home away from home (games, books, throw blankets, night lights, etc). The kitchen and pantry had everything we needed and then some, the beds were comfortable, there were ample hooks and storage spaces for our gear, and plenty of room to share meals, puzzle, and chat. The space has incredible views, and is very private and quiet...this was an awesome weekend escape for ice fishing and unplugging. The sauna was fantastic and we wished we had at least one more day. Would love to come back any time of year!!

We had a wonderful stay at Michael's lakeside retreat. The photos represented it well and we were especially pleased with the detailed directions for the route off the highway. The fireplace was a treat. Our only struggle was remembering which switches controlled which lights… even though many of them were labeled, we still had to guess/remember several times. The heaters in each room were effective and the kitchen was well-stocked. We certainly recommend Michael's North Bay Getaway.

Very beautiful and private location with a very comfortable cabin. It is private and peaceful. We brought our boat but it was also fun to take the kayaks and canoe out to get a closer look at the many islands the lake has. Fishing was a challenge but our 14 yr old son did manage to catch two large bass off the dock over 2 days. This would be a place we would consider staying again even though I do not typically like to visit the same place twice!

Enjoyed a beautiful couples getaway weekend at Cabin O' Pines! Ross was very helpful in every way! From his knowledge on the lake to making sure we had access to whatever we needed. Killer view of the lake from the front porch. The property was large and offered many things to do. Everyone was welcoming and friendly!

Awesome spot! This cabin is very peaceful and private. You have the entire peninsula to yourself to enjoy! Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a boundary waters like remote experience but still wants to sleep in a bed.

We had an awesome time. Beautiful views everywhere. Perfect for us and our family with grandkids. Swimming, jacuzzi, boat dock, a.c. and comforts, kayaks and floats for kids was super nice!!! Loved the outside deck for grilling and eating and relaxing. This place is well equipped. Great job Chad and crew! Kitchen was so well stocked that we didn't need to bring half as much as we did for spices and kitchen amenities. We loved our time and was sad it was over so soon. Close to town made it really nice. Added awesomeness was that we also had great weather! Garage was really convenient to reload and pack our boat on last day when raining. Can't think of a thing we didn't love.

Absolutely gorgeous cabin, really close to some great hiking too! The outdoor tub was great for some stargazing and the wood stove kept the place nice and cozy. I absolutely plan on returning

We had a couple of issues at check in and Jason went above and beyond to get everything just right for us. My family had a fantastic stay and are already talking about coming back next year.

We had a great stay at this cozy cabin! 1 adult, 3 teenagers and 2 dogs. The location was beautiful and peaceful—perfect for a quiet family getaway. The cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable visit, and we especially appreciated the dock, outdoor seating areas facing the lake, comfy beds, and gated back yard for our dogs to play. Communication with the host was smooth and friendly from start to finish. Being from the city, we loved driving down the gravel road to visit Two Harbors & get groceries. We even saw our first porcupine! We also saw deer, a bald eagle, and a fox. If you are heat sensitive I’d recommend bringing a fan. The house does not have AC and the first day was hot due to the windows being closed and high temps - but overall, it didn’t impact our stay too much. It cooled off quickly once we opened up the windows and there was a constant breeze. Would definitely recommend this spot to others looking for a peaceful retreat! We hope to visit again!

Awesome cabin on a beautiful lake! The cabin is in a quiet location with great lakeside amenities. The cabin is beautifully decorated and is very well stocked. Heidi and Paul are great hosts with a quick response time to any questions. I would highly recommend this cabin!

We had a great stay during our fishing trip! The owner communicated in advance and explained everything from check-in to amenities. It was exactly as pictured (though even better really) and had nice amenities (like the canoe and kayaks). Would definitely recommend.

The fireplace was incredible and we had a great time playing music around the fire. The breakfast room and the enclosed porch were very charming and we really liked the boat and motor-even though the fishing was not so great. The kitchen was nice and well stocked. It felt like we were back in time to the early 20th century.

If willing to make the drive away from all signs of civilization, whether it be for golfing, skiing, camping, roadtripping or otherwise, Jody’s place will always come out on top. The Bear Den Lodge exceeded all expectations, and had so many fun touches throughout the place in addition to its reliable amenities. My party made use of most offerings such as the screened hut, sauna, grill, large backyard, game room, washer/dryer, and the fancy bath tub! There were hardly any issues, the place was pristinely prepared, welcoming to guests and bears (only fake ones), and secluded. The only problem that occurred was a fire alarm being set off by the grilling we did. Due to the location of the grill, it may be more susceptible to triggering the fire alarm. To combat this, we opened a few windows in the front of the house (away from the grill), and turned on all fans and air control units (which were excellently reliable). In short, tremendous place, and I would certainly revisit!

My travel partner and I, avid outdoors paddlers, wanted a remote well equipped cabin rental in northern Minnesota. We found it at Vintage Vermillion Resort. We stayed in cute (and wow so clean!) Cedar Cabin for 10 days. Alex, the caretaker, was very responsive to any question that came up. We paddled Black Bay on Kayak and canoe, swam daily, and hiked some northern MN trails. Vintage Vermillion is a quiet place and we got the badly needed R and R we came for. We cook a lot and the only things we were glad we brought along were good knives for jobs in the kitchen. Thanks to Alex and Tatiana for being great hosts!

Definitely worth five stars! Extremely peaceful and tranquil area in the woods. The cabinet itself is gorgeous and you can tell that Heather and Cory have put a lot of time and love into making it such a special place. We are avid cyclist and loved being so close to the Mesabi Trail, which we enjoyed for the days that we were there. Highly recommend!

Such a beautiful, secluded cabin! Great location, beautiful house and a beautiful view with lots of things to do!
