Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Lake Tawakoni

Our home unfortunately flooded and I was completely distraught since my husband was out of town. I reached out to this place on the lake to see if we could stay that same night since our home was being torn apart. Danelle responded right away and we were able to check in within a couple hours of booking. What a relief! We booked 4 nights since that was what was available. Then, when their weekend booking canceled, she reached out to me immediately and offered for us to stay through the weekend. We very much needed that since our home was still being worked on. The home had everything we could possibly need including things we didn’t need but it was nice to have (sonic ice? Heck yes!). The lake was exactly what we needed after all we had been through. The kids loved the kayaks and jumping off the docks! The roof deck was perfect for laying out in the sun. We had all the beach towels we needed and the couch was super comfy. We couldn’t be more grateful for Buffalo Inn. 10/1

My family and I was there for only two days. We spent most of the time between indoor and outdoor activities as a family. It was a great time for us, peaceful and quiet.

Great stay with the family! The house was just like the pictures clean, cozy, and with a beautiful view. The kitchen had everything we needed, and there were fun games for the kids. Only downside was the outdoor grill and furniture, which needed cleaning before use. Overall, a great experience!

the house and pool were breathtaking. privacy fence made you feel protected and alone. very quiet neighborhood. loved it. hope to go back.

As a disclaimer, I was in the area for a funeral after a fairly large rain storm and then it was very warm (hot). I think under cooler conditions, and less rain the night before, this would be a great "couples" getaway. I would have loved to have sat out on that front porch and watched the animals. Instead, I watched them from inside where it was cool and comfortable. There were treats to give to the animals but, again, I did not make it out there. Again, the amenities were great and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable!! I did not want to get up and leave the next morning. Of course, remember, you are on a secluded ranch so there will be wild life. Birds and I think tree frogs (I never saw them only heard them) were extremely happy and singing away. Lisa was quick to answer any questions I had and I am sure would have responded to any issues. I just did not see any issues that needed to be addressed. Thank you!

This is the second time we rent this house. This is the perfect summer getaway for a weekend with friends and family! We appreciated the numerous amenities, including the large firepit, the ponds and the boats available for use. Thank you to the host for having us.

This is the perfect classic lake house. The location was amazing, quiet, and peaceful. I loved the decor and furnishings also. If you want somewhere lake front where you can relax and be a family, this is the place. It is perfect!

We loved this spacious and wonderful home. It fit our large family and gave us privacy. Peaceful while still being close to town for a quick store run. We loved the swimming pool and billiards table. And our favorite is the large dining table we were all able to sit at together.

Susie was a fantastic host, very communicative and clear with her instructions, she checked in with us and made sure everything was good for our single night stay. As a full-time host myself it was nice to have a host who does a great job and doesn't just do the bare minimum for the reservation to be completed. Beautiful property with lots of animals surrounded by nature and a very clean little bunkhouse. My wife and I were quite happy with the spot and do recommend staying here, a slice of country instead of just overpaying for some hotel in town.

Incredible remote location to reset and unwind Quiet and beautiful Farm animals around (horses, goats, donkeys) but very friendly and actually fun to interact with Saw coyote one morning (not close to house) Lots of amenities on the property… hot tub, fire pits and separate small house (w AC) to read or sit Porch all around the house that was awesome for sitting and relaxing Wonderful place Will go back !!!

Cute little tiny house, great for a fishing getaway! Comfy king sized bed with nice linens. Boat dock nearby to see gorgeous sunsets over the lake. I reserved this location because I was traveling to First Monday Trade Days in Canton, and could not get a reservation in Canton. This was a lovely place, but a little further drive from Canton than I would have preferred. All that to say, if I were planning a fishing trip to Lake Fork, I would definitely book Off the Hook again!

This place was great. Clean and tidy. Beautiful surroundings. Horse and goats roaming around the fields. Was peaceful. Definitely will be staying here again.

This is the second time we stayed with Domance, the first time was treetopia which was just as amazing. Starlite is a great summer spot with the outdoor bathtubs and pool to keep us cool while we soaked up some sun and relaxed around the trees. Looking forward to staying at another one of their spots in the future.

The home is incredible and the host /Nicole was helpful and quickly responded to all messages before and after trip. There is nothing I can complain about. I wish it was my home!! I would love to go back!

Perfect place to stay for a fishing trip. Close to the private boat ramp, easy boat parking, super clean RV.

It was PERFECT. Very cozy, beautiful, comfortable, and Mario thought of EVERYTHING. He even provided a kennel in the living room to put our two dogs, a Chihuahua mix, and an Austrailian Shepherd, so we didn't have to lug our big kennels in from the truck. And the biggest deal for me: DIMMER SWITCHES! Do you know how many times I have wished for dimmer switches on lighting at AirBnB's? And Mario had them on EVERY ceiling light AND in the bathroom! I'm a blue-eyed guy, a little light sensitive at night and this and other features made me so comfortable! We had a dear friend over to dinner and Mario had everything in the kitchen we needed to cook grass-fed rib eye steaks! I found the bed extremely comfortable. No back problems at all the next morning. Heads up for some folks, it is a 3rd floor unit, which I loved because of the deck off the back, but for some you will need to take your time on the stairs. However, my friend's 80+ year old mother was able to make it up with some help.

Overall we had a good stay, Check in and out instructions were clear, beautiful property on the lake, however the dock advertised in the listing is nothing like it is in pictures…. It is unusable because of the amount of spiders that call it home I’m sure it maybe hard to stay on top of keeping them out of the dock but necessary for full use of the property as advertised.

We had a wonderful time and loved this spot so much! Kristi was amazing with any questions and the house was fully stocked with whatever we needed. Outside the lake was wonderful with kayaks and rafts to keep you busy for days. We will definitely be booking again. We enjoyed every minute of it!

This place is absolutely beautiful, very clean and private. Luckily this place is walking distance to my dad’s house so I will definitely be back soon. The place was extremely clean and beyond comfortable. Great fishing in the pond and so relaxing . To not hesitate to book this place . There is a bridge you must cross and it’s a little steep but manageable and kinda fun. Skip was an awesome host and very quick to respond. 10/10

Great lake house to stay at, had all the amenities you need. It has kayaks and paddle boats ready for you to use. The inside of the house is great has a lot of electronics that you can use. Definitely would recommend to anyone who wants to have a great lake house experience.

Fantastic stay for a wedding weekend! Was very comfortable for 3 couples. We all had our own bathroom and a great living and dining area to accommodate all of us. Liz was very responsive and you can tell she is a host that goes the extra mile! Would recommend for anyone in East Texas.

We absolutely loved the rental. It was clean, very well taken care of, excellent amenities, and tucked into a beautiful location. We intend to be a return customer, next time staying for a longer period of time!

We had a great stay everything was just how it was pictured and listed. Very clean and peaceful place to stay close to the water. I will defiantly be booking next time we go back to lake fork.
