The "chicken house"

The chicken house is located in the middle of the beautiful permagar, below a former monastery, on the Katzenhof in Bachhupten. Gabi and Guido live here their dream of independence and want to expand the farm in a sustainable and tedious way. For example, the walls and ceiling of the chicken house have been made from the more than 200-year-old floorboards of the main house. In Rorschach, Heiden and St. Gallen there are various shopping possibilities and restaurants for every taste, as well as the neighbouring restaurant Treichli.

The holiday home is located in a former barn with a stork's nest, which has been expanded modern. The large living and dining area is characterized by a very large ceiling height and a lot of air (4.20 m height), the fully glazed barn gate brings light into the room. The bedroom (former cowshed) is located inside and therefore particularly quiet. Other rooms: kitchen, pantry (spacious storage for suitcases, etc.), hallway, bathroom with walk-in shower.

The cozy apartment consists of a large room with adjoining bathroom and is located in the lovingly renovated former stable building of our farmhouse. Located in a rural but close proximity to the local part of Tettnang, about 8 km from Lake Constance. The apartment combines the charm of former farm use with modern facilities. The fireplace offers a special ambience, especially in the cold season. In the adjacent yard you can sit outside or grill.

Apartment small but nice

Our house is on the outskirts of the village center. A big old birch is the landmark in our garden. The stately wooden house was built 140 years ago in Biedermeier style and has been little changed in all these years. It still reflects a forward-looking and cosmopolitan generation. With this in mind, we welcome guests from near and far.
