Located on a farm in the heart of Amish country and amid one of the largest concentrations of antiques in America, we are central to many attractions, yet quaint and secluded enough to provide a relaxing retreat. The Covered Bridge Cottage started out in the 1800’s as a mill office and over the years was converted into a home through several additions. The house has been in our family for close to a century and it was our honor to restore it to a comfortable, energy efficient, durable home.

The timeless character of the home, paired with the peaceful property creates an escape that feels like you've gone back in time, all while being only 20 minutes outside of Lancaster City. The mansion was home to the first treasurer of the US, General Edward Hand’s daughter, and President Buchanan’s fiance.

Conveniences include a wood stove, sleep number mattress, Viking gas stovetop/oven, deck facing river with propane grill, a covered carport entry, and a 180* river view at the top of the property! Built in 1753, this 1000 square feet, newly restored limestone cottage was the original settlement home on the 135-acre homestead. Boasting a French country esthetic, this little darling has the most captivating views of rolling hills, a brook, and lush green farmland.

All are welcome in our cozy 1 Bedroom plus loft Cabin #3 along the Conewago Creek. Peaceful and relaxing, & the creek is just a step away and is great for splashing around in the summer to cool off. No smoking. Fully equipped kitchen & Washer and Dryer. Carport parking space. Pets are welcome. All pets must be disclosed prior to check in. We charge a $20 pet fee. Two pets maximum please.
