The Carriage House: Beautiful Farmland Views.

The Carriage House is the second floor of our cedar stables that was turned into an apartment years ago. It was completely redone this spring and professionally decorated to make it a cozy + luxe retreat with views to die for. While we no longer use the stables to house animals we still keep a few head of cattle + sheep in the pasture for your enjoyment. The wall of windows along the back of the apartment offer you the most stunning views of the surrounding farmland and an unforgettable sunrise.

With lots of trails and the Susquehanna River close by, your family can spend many hours hiking in southern Lancaster County. Experience the local Britain Hill Vineyard,coffee,and ice cream shops nearby. The charming city of Lancaster with its many authentic restaurants is only a 20 minute drive. The Covered Bridge Cottage started out in the 1800’s as a mill office and over the years was converted into a home through several additions. The house has been in our family for close to a century and it was our honor to restore it to a comfortable, energy efficient, durable home.
