Vacation rentals with lake access in Lake Champlain

Where do I start...from before I arrived, up until my departure...Joanne was attentive in every way possible. All my questions were answered with an immediate response. The home was extraordinary. The effort Joanne has put in to making it just like home shows. With an abundance of whimsical touches. Up until the day I left, I would see a new thing. As if the enchanting home wasn't enough, the back patio is a place of serenity...with the sounds and view of the river extraordinary. I could go on and on, but I will just say, "it was the best vacation I have ever had". One word describes this Airbnb...AMAZING!!!🩷. I will return next year! Didn't want to leave!!! 😊 Thank you Joanne for your exemplary hospitality!

We had an amazing stay at Bjorn's beautiful home where it was as picture-perfect as advertised! It is a gorgeous and modern home that was clean, well-stocked, and uniquely designed in such stunning surroundings (even in the rainy weather!). We cannot recommend Bjorn's home enough and are so appreciative of his accommodations in helping us celebrate our Middlebury grad!

It is a very beautiful and peaceful place, I recommend it, and it is very clean which is one of the most important things about a place.

Ashley’s home is gorgeous! If you like the idea of staying in a lake house with a magnificent view you will not be disappointed. The home has two larger windows, one in kitchen and living room that provides a breathtaking view of the lake. The home is exactly as described and more, very nicely decorated with all new appliances. We could not have been happier with our stay and look forward to the next opportunity to stay again.

We loved our stay here!! It was the perfect getaway for a long weekend. The property is beautiful and private but close to anything that you might need. The kitchen was super well stocked, beds were comfy, and we really appreciated the firewood supply. Nikki & Topher were great hosts - extremely responsive to all questions we had and proactive about check in/check out instructions. Would definitely come back!

We loved our stay. It was beautiful and we loved being right by the lake as well as the sauna, fire pit, and outdoor seating. The house was cozy and the little kids toy closet was such a cute touch. We had an amazing time on our family vacation and would definitely recommend this rental. Ash was also so communicative and ready to help if we ever needed anything. So thankful!

We enjoyed our stay at Kathleen’s house very much. There were 6 of us; my family and my brother’s. The house was very cozy with an open kitchen and living room space with high ceilings. The beds and furniture were all very comfortable. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed and many things we didn’t expect like breakfast foods, coffee, etc. The two bathrooms were both spotless and had lots of nice soft towels. The outdoor furniture was very nice and new and the property is private and nicely maintained. A few of us also enjoyed using the kayaks on the lake directly across the street. We were attending a family reunion at a house on the same street so the location was extremely convenient. We liked this house so much we would like to book again for our future reunions.

Lovely home in a lovely setting. The view is breathtaking and Barbara has outfitted the space woth everything you could possibly need. She is extremely thoughtful and personable. The area is great for hiking and outdoor activities but is also near Middlebury College and Burlington.

Audrey’s Porcupine Farm Barn was the perfect place for us and our pup to get some respite from our day to day grind. With scenic vistas outside our window the space was an ideal blend of rustic and comfortable, and Audrey was around to answer any questions and assist us whenever we needed. We would absolutely stay again - and hopefully will soon!

Tanner's place was picture perfect, with attention to the additional touches that visitors appreciate. Very comfortable and spacious, with intentional design and elevated quality. Although the weather didn't cooperate with our visit, you have a lovely little private deck area, you are less than a block from the water-front, and less than a mile from the cutest drive-in with the best fries you have ever had! I also recommend you check out Golden Hour - the sweetest little shop, in the most unassuming little strip of shops, just minutes away. Tanner was a very responsive communicator and very clear and easy house rules. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay in Lake Placid, thanks to Angela’s lovely apartment. Even with some rainy weather, the cozy space made for a perfect couples retreat. We did run into a minor hiccup with a smoke detector that needed a new battery, but Angela responded immediately and arrived with a replacement within the hour—super helpful and responsive! The location was ideal—tucked away just enough to feel like a private oasis, yet right in town for easy access to everything. The backyard was especially charming, with beautiful shady trees and a staircase leading right into Mirror Lake. Absolutely stunning!

The Walkabout was ideally located for us. It’s easily walkable to Church Street, the waterfront and restaurants. We appreciated the off-street parking and laundry facilities. Laurie and Mark, the co-hosts, were helpful and responsive.

This was a great place to stay for a long weekend - easy access to Stowe and Waterbury. Very quiet and peaceful area which was perfect for us as we wanted to get away and unwind.

Loved staying with Sandra and Jason! They are great hosts and did a great job on the Airbnb. We knew there were going to be mosquitoes, but we didn’t know that there were going to be so many, I would advise bringing bug spray. They let us use their kayaks which was an awesome experience. 10/10 would stay again.

We were charmed by the combination of color, nostalgic framed art, objects and furniture in Kristin’s apartment, which is a high ceilinged first floor unit, converted long ago in what was probably a former Victorian Burlington mansion. We had a very pleasant 4 night stay there, with a super comfortable bed, air conditioners in the bedroom and main room, attractive, clean and well-lit bathroom and a great Keurig nespresso vertuo coffee pod machine. The outdoor parking space is very close to the building’s entrance. Great location too, just going up the Main St. hill and so near downtown Burlington. Kristin works with Errin, and their communications and response times to messages was amazingly quick. Thank you Kristin & Errin!

Wonderful peaceful spot! Flowing River in the back of the house and beautiful lake and mountains in the front across the street. Kayaks & paddleboat available but unfortunately I wasn’t able to use them this time but I will be back! Thanks Doc!

We spent the whole week wishing we lived in this sweet little cottage all the time. Everything about it was lovely, and the place had everything we could need. Lesley was a warm and helpful host. We didn't want to leave! Thank you for the beautiful retreat.

Absolutely beautiful Airbnb on the lake. Had a blast kayaking until sunset, also checking out a Spa an hour away. We loved our stay. Very clean airbnb, comfortable bed, relaxing chairs both inside and out by the water. It would be an easy choice to stay here again in the future.

Absolutely loved my time here. Wish I was still sitting on the deck watching the loons! Beautiful, peaceful location. House has everything we needed, and it was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place, and I hope to stay here again someday.

My husband and I stayed at Lisa's cottage while visiting our daughter who is living in Hinesburg. It was the most peaceful house and setting I have experienced through airbnb. This remark is not just in response to the lake, trees and views but because there were no abnormal issues, we received detailed instructions on how to find the home and our hosts were very responsive - absolutely no complications or disappointments. The description and photos on the airbnb site were spot on and we were able to cook several meals. I must mention the dogs - they are incredibly well behaved and my daughter loved them. She misses our family dog, so being with Lisa's was a real treat. They did not come to the cottage and did not jump all over us when we were near them. Finally, the setting is absolutely beautiful and I 100% recommend staying over and over again!

This place was wonderful! It had positively everything we needed :) it was cozy and the covered porch was a true gift on our rainy weekend getaway. I highly recommend!

Our stay at “ The Last Resort “ could not have been better. The house is very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The perfect place for a quiet getaway, with a great view of the lake. The location was conveniently located, we were able to do day trips to Burlington VT, Lake Placid NY and Montreal Canada. Thank you to Jacqueline and Tina, JR and Patty
