Vacation rentals with lake access in Lake Atitlán

This is by far the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at. I’ve traveled to a lot of Airbnb’s in many different countries and none compare to this. Finding this place is surely an adventure but once you are there, you don’t want to leave! I can’t say enough good things about the chefs that will cook you every meal. We had them do all the shopping for our meals along with other items we wanted such as water and beer. The housekeeper services that help coordinate private boat rides to other villages, keeping the place clean, or even small things such as turning on the hot tub while we are away are truly incredible perks of this place. The property and views are just amazing and I can’t wait to come back here for my next stay!

This Airbnb is what Airbnb was supposed to be 10 years ago. It’s not just another property from a manager that you never see. Jean was very warm welcoming and welcomed us herself on our arrival. She was very proactive by giving us some tips from what to do, where to go or eat. She answered really quickly and helped us organized some massage sessions. The property is as described. The heated pool, the private beach and dock. Be aware that there are a lot of steps in the property and that arriving there from San Marcos may be a little difficult because of the road. But in my opinion those aren’t a problem after you see how beautiful it is there. I hope I can return one day

Tuvimos unas vacaciones inolvidables en esta casa maravillosa. La propiedad es preciosa, con vistas increíbles y un jardín espectacular que invita al descanso y la desconexión total. Las camas son muy cómodas, lo que hizo que cada noche fuera perfecta después de días llenos de tranquilidad y paisajes hermosos. Aunque el acceso a la propiedad no es el más sencillo, para nuestra familia fue toda una aventura que valió completamente la pena. Al llegar, te encuentras con un verdadero paraíso. Además, el equipo de Eliza y Vicky estuvo siempre con la mejor disposición para ayudarnos con todo, lo que hizo que la llegada y la instalación fueran mucho más fáciles. Pudimos disfrutar del lago y de la propiedad donde tuvimos la oportunidad de reconectar como familia, compartir momentos inolvidables y crear recuerdos que siempre llevaremos con nosotros. Queremos agradecer especialmente a Vicky y Pedro quienes estuvieron pendientes en todo momento. Volveremos pronto!!

I still can't believe how wonderful this place was. If you're looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful setting, this is it. Heavenly. Fast Internet, great host, convenient, clean. Everything about it was perfect.

This place was absolutely beautiful. The ladies that came and cooked for us were amazing. Food was amazing and so worth hiring them to cook for us. There really isnt anywhere to get food from around the area. Josue went and purchased the groceries for us and made sure that we had everything we needed. I cant wait to book this place again.

We had a little family vacation here and it was everything is was advertised to be and more! The staff are all very helpful and responsive. Salvador the property manager was incredible! From keeping the pool clean between our times in to doing grocery runs into the city, he was amazing. All the activities listed were so fun and very family friendly! The rooms were all very clean and there was even bug spray to help with the incests outside. All the local contacts for boat and tour services were also incredibly sweet. Very considerate, accommodating and for a friendly price! Overall, we would definitely consider coming back should we ever want to visit Atitlan and the surrounding towns.

Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and private place in Santa Cruz. The view is stunning, the house is breezy and full of natural light, and the garden is an oasis. We worked remotely from the loft above with a view of the lake, and the windows letting in the breeze… the Starlink internet was seamless. Town/dock was 5-10 min walk from the house, and town/ATM was a short tuk tuk ride up the hill. Miguel was extremely helpful, always readily available, communicative and with a great attitude. He met us at the dock in Panajachel with a pre booked private transport and helped bring our bags up to the house. We also booked the private chef experience with Manuela and she was amazing… so sweet, punctual, and made us healthy, tasty lunches to enjoy while we worked. She even made us a refreshing drink with a cucumber from her garden, and set the table for us outside to we could eat while enjoying the nice weather. We learned a lot from chatting with her! Lovely people & stay!

This home was incredible! Not only is the location fantastic - private, right on the lake, easy to drive to, walkable to San Marcos - but it is decorated, furnished and staffed to feel like a luxury getaway. I would recommend taking the staff up on the option to have a chef and massage therapist come during your stay. I cannot say enough good things about this place. It was the perfect getaway for our family and we look forward to returning.

I agree with all the previous reviews - can’t recommend Griselda and Antonio’s place high enough. San Pedro is loud ! And this is an oasis of calm yet walkable to the town and language school(s) we will defo be back.

The best view I’ve ever had at an Airbnb! The balcony was a dream, and the grounds that the apartment is based on are gorgeous. Deedle and Claudia were super responsive and helpful, and Diego was a superstar! We loved our time here.

The place has an amazing view—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. The check-in instructions were clear and everything went smoothly without any delays. We had a lovely stay here on Lake Aitlan. It was so homely, Nico was very welcoming when we first arrived and throughout the trip, along with Venus and Mary - they were all so helpful. The views were incredible for the platform and so relaxing! All the villages were in easy reach via boat or tuk tuk. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking to be surrounded by a lovely community in a peaceful location.

We really enjoyed our stay at Rocio's place, the views are absolutely stunning! It was so peaceful and we enjoyed the fireplace upstairs. Would love to return one day!

This apartment is a hidden gem tucked in a peaceful, secluded area just a few minutes by tuk-tuk from the heart of Panajachel. The ride typically costs between Q20–Q30 for two people, which is very reasonable. As many other reviewers have mentioned, the view from the apartment is absolutely breathtaking — waking up each morning to the stunning sight of Lake Atitlán and the surrounding volcanoes felt surreal and unforgettable. While dining options nearby are limited, the on-site restaurant in the same building exceeded our expectations — both my wife and I really enjoyed their menu. The apartment is also conveniently located just a short walk from the Atitlán Nature Reserve, which we highly recommend if you're interested in ziplining or enjoying nature trails. A huge thank you to our host Pat, who was incredibly attentive throughout our stay. Since we don’t speak Spanish, his support and guidance made everything seamless. Kudos also to Petra for her warm hospitality.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. The location is excellent and the views are breathtaking. We altered our trip and left a day early to stay closer to the airport for an early flight the last morning and Nathali refunded us for the last night immediately. The best part is the view from the balcony. We would get our food to go for dinner and just eat on the balcony every night because it was the best view in the city. Location was amazing. I will say it does get noisy at night because of the proximity to the night clubs but the noise usually cuts off around 11pm. Other than that, I cannot recommend this place enough. We were able to explore San Pedro as well as walk to San Juan and the boat taxi dock is less than a 5 minute walk

Their place is beyond amazing! It definitely feels cozy and peaceful. Jenny’s self made products are perfect, we acquire a massage oil and hair products, all organic and super natural. The gym was a plus, able to continue working out and enjoy the view. Clemens very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Love the access to the lake! The WiFi was definitely stable and could work from there. Overall one of the best places you can stay!

Very comfortable and peaceful home overlooking the lake in a safe environment. Highly recommend it for a couple of days of relaxation.

Nos quedamos con nuestras dos niñas (5 y 2 años) el lugar muy apto para ellas, estuvimos muy cómodos, las camas y sábanas muy cómodas. Mucha naturaleza, nos encantó la opción de piscina, y jacuzzi con vista al lago. Vimos el atardecer en un kayak, logramos hacer el tour de birdwathching y logramos ver el Quetzal, también tomamos tuc tuc al pueblo y tomamos tour en lancha alrededor del lago. Nos la pasamos muy bien! Nos brindaron toallas para piscina y aparte para bañarse! Si quieres cocinar, lleva aceite, sal, azúcar. Del restaurante la Posada nos encantaron las quesadillas y el sandwich de lomito!

un lugar muy bonito y tranquilo. con muchis espacios públicos y tranquilidad tenia una vista increíble cuando sales de la cabaña. la falta de luces exteriores durante la noche en especial durante el check in lo hizo algo dificil. estaba algo polvozo y con telarañas. el uso de las instalaciones fue algo complicado en jacuzzi estaba vacío y apagado en sauna igual I los equipos para hacer kayac estaba todos bajo llave cada vez pienso q al no hacer una reservacion directamente con el alojamiento se siente como q no somos tan importantes como para darnos esa parte del servicio.

Galileo is so caring and kind. He help us to take the luggage from the private deck to the house, and when we check out, he helped us to get on a boat to our next destination. He is very caring for his guests. For the property, one thing to note is that the shower head on the top is out of service, so you can only use the handheld shower head. But everything else is super good. Santa Cruz is a quiet town if you want to get dinner you have to reserve beforehand with the local restaurant.

Magical Airbnb perfect for retreating from the world and being in nature. The scenery and natural sounds around it are very special. We stayed there for 25 days and had an amazing time. There’s a small harbor 5 minutes from the cabin where you can take a boat taxi to explore the lake and also go for a swim which we enjoyed multiple times. You should know that this cabin is in the middle of nature so you can expect little insects and flies, which for us wasn’t a problem. Pat’s communication was great and Marcelo, who’s the guardian of the house was very helpful and made us feel at home. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to dive

Niels’ place in San Marcos was absolutely perfect for our stay. Situated in one of the best spots on the lake, it was close to the action that we could walk to cafes, restaurants and the famed trampolin but also far enough away that it was tranquil. From living in Australia, we are very used to seeing huntsman spiders and I think the spiders we found in the Airbnb were similar to huntsman - harmless but probably intense to discover if you have a fear of spiders. It didn’t bother us at all but I’m sure it would bother some people, but when you’re staying in a nature area by a gorgeous lake you expect it. The caretaker of the property Victor was kind to meet us late at night and was highly communicative. The Airbnb is down a steep hill but it wasn’t an issue for us (don’t bring a big suitcase for this reason, pack lightly!). Niels and Lily were communicative about pickup points and responsive to all our needs. We had a great stay! Loved it. Would stay again.

My friend and I had a lovely few day stay in Becca's place. It was nice to have our own little part of Santiago - lovely views of the lake and nearby volcano, a great restaurant on the premises, and of course, the cabin itself was well appointed. There was lots of purified water, a great kitchen with fridge and comfortable bedding. We would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a special stay while visiting Santiago, and Lago Atitlan..
