Gian’s apartment is located in a gorgeous location, with 360° mountain views. Although the town is small, there are still some shops nearby, and some restaurants. Lots of beautiful hikes available in the area. My wife, daughter, and I visited in May, and the apartment can definitely get cold throughout the day, and night time. It is possible to heat the place with firewood, available at DeSpar nearby. The heaters will blow the fuse if operated at the same time, as some other reviews mentioned, but if everything is turned off at night (including the water heater), you can close all doors, and heat one room with the electric heater no problem. Great stay overall with no issues.

We spent five nights here, immersing ourselves in the tranquility of this enchanting village. The journey to Stramare was a perfect prelude to the serenity that awaited us. The village with its stone houses felt like a step back in time. Our stay in the lovingly restored house was a blend of rustic charm and comfort. The antique furnishings and the cozy atmosphere made it a delightful retreat. Traveling with our dog was a joy – the peaceful surroundings and nature trails were perfect for long walks. A special thanks to Mariano, who lives just next door. He was welcoming and shared wonderful local restaurant recommendations that truly enriched our experience. Thank you for preserving this magical place and its traditions. It’s a rare gem that allows visitors to experience true peace and connection with nature.

Paolo’s home is the perfect solution for our family of four. Extremely clean, super equipped and comfortable. Sauris is a unique village in the mountains with lot of things to do, including beautiful trekking and skiing.

This was a cozy, comfortable space for us to rest for a few nights after spending our days skiing. It was exactly what we needed, with a homey family table around which we enjoyed our dinners and a warm fireplace in front of which to end our evenings. Alessandro and his parents were great hosts, very helpful and responsive. We highly recommend this stay for families visiting the Dolomites.

The apartment was perfect—very clean and easy to find. The host was great, and we felt right at home. Plus, there’s a playground just across the street and a great spot for sledding, making it perfect for kids. We will definitely come back again.

This is a gorgeous renovation of a pretty stone barn with lots of style - a true architect's house. We loved the big windows upstairs, because it can be difficult to find homes in Italy with large windows and lots of natural light during the day. Federica has designed low lighting for evening throughout the house. It's very quiet at night, and we slept really well. The neighbours are all polite and respectful to each other, and to us as guests. It's wonderful to experience what it might feel like to really live in this part of Italy, which is very different to other parts. Federica is very responsive and helpful, and obviously a very good architect!

Wonderful place and perfect hospitality from Ettore, Meguni's husband. A peaceful place with an atmosphere that combines good humor and interpersonal well-being. We played in the large lawn among the trees with our son and our dog as if we were at home, framed by the mountains. The apartment is a very cozy studio apartment even if small and without a clear separation between the sleeping and living area, with all solid wood furniture, details taken care of in every detail - the very fragrant lavender bag on the bed - and a bathroom with all Japanese attention to detail. One observation, from the description I thought you could take bike rides in the surroundings, but in reality it is not like that unless you are prepared to face very challenging climbs right away; however, this did not limit us at all, we still took advantage of bicycles elsewhere.

Mrs. Catia was really kind and helpful to us. His house and the fully fenced garden were in line with what we expected and respected the proposal offered on the site. Very well-kept interiors, comfortable, cozy and clean beds. Warm environment heated by a pellet stove. Equipped kitchen, utensils, comforts of all kinds available. If we really want to find a flaw, I could mention the extractor hood and its light that did not work and was not clean. But, I would recommend Catia's house for a wonderful vacation.
