Vacation rentals with a patio in la Jolla Shores Beach

We loved staying here! Our only critique is that there were only 2 pillows in the bed but aside from that everything was perfect! The patio is so nice and it’s such a great walk to the beach and bay!

The location of this place is fantastic. You can see Mission Bay from the front door, and then the bay and the beach are just a hundred yards away across a grassy park. Having a dedicated parking spot right by the front door was super convenient, and necessary in that area. The apartment itself is well equipped. It had everything I needed for my week-long stay.

My family and I had a fantastic stay at Tamara’s Airbnb. The property was exactly as described—beautifully decorated touches, and best of all, it included access to a private beach that felt like our own hidden getaway. We had originally planned to stay at the Gaylord Hotel but stumbled upon this listing—and we’re so glad we did. Choosing Tamara’s place turned out to be the best decision. The spacious layout, multiple comfortable beds, and well-appointed bathrooms offered a level of comfort and privacy that far exceeded what a hotel could provide. When we weren’t relaxing on the private beach, we explored the charming local town and rented electric bikes from IB Bikes, which was a perfect way to take in the area’s attractions and restaurants. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful, stylish, and well-located retreat!

Angels place was a little rough to find at first, but it's a great little oasis in SD on the bay side. Responsive host and good amenities. Great to have chairs and blanket for the beach...beach towels would've been a nice touch. Overall, good experience in a nice centrally located place.

We had a wonderful stay. Wound up leaving our car in the garage the whole time because everything was in walking distance. Lots of space, had everything we needed. Would love to stay longer next time!

This is hands down one of the best stays my husband and I have ever had! Not only was the place super easy to find, but it was well stocked, clean and comfortable. The host, Connie, was extremely kind and flexible with us when our check in was late. She made us feel right at home and the value of the stay far exceeds the price. I highly recommend their granny flat in La Mesa and hope I can come back again very soon!!

Lindsey was an amazing host and the place was just as amazing! very nice and cozy inside and it was in a perfect location about 15 minutes from downtown. every place we had planned for the trip was very close and the beach less than 4 minutes away was a nice plus! it was very clean we spilled water on the floor and when we wiped it up the paper towel came up still white! i would definitely stay here again :)

This place literally felt like paradise. If you didn’t know you were in San Diego, you would feel like you’re in Hawaii! The backyard was so beautiful that we spent the majority of our time out there in the pool, hot tub, and tiki bar! The upstairs patio was fantastic for outdoor eating. The hosts were super communicative with any questions we had prior to and during our visit! We definitely can’t wait to stay again in the future!

It was absolutely charming. We enjoyed our short stay, only regret was not having more time to enjoy it more. Beds and bedding was comfortable. Kitchen is fully stocked. Plenty of thick towels and beach towels. My grandsons loved sleeping in the loft. We were 20 minutes away from Sea World minutes from great parks for the boys. The owner was wonderful. Great stay at the Hummingbird Cottage. Beautiful space that was perfect for the two of us. Bright clean comfortable and tastefully decorated. Jo went out of her way to help us. Would recommend and we hope to visit again when we’re back in La Jolla.

Daniel's San Diego home was an absolute dream come true for our family of six! It far surpassed all our expectations and stands out as our best Airbnb experience to date. The amenities were simply amazing – the game room, movie theater, pool, and spa provided endless fun and relaxation for everyone. Daniel was also incredibly responsive whenever we had questions. We genuinely hope to stay here again on our next visit to San Diego!

Great location and just as described and pictured. The place was clean and very homey. Comfy and soft bed. This unit is located behind the main initial home, above the garage and sharing no walls with any other units/rentals, which worked out for my self-conscious brain, worrying about my 2 kids under 2 disturbing other tenants. VERY convenient to get to the beach. As stated in the listing, the parking spot is optimal for regular to smaller vehicles. We have a Honda Pilot and it juuusssttt fit into the garage (thank goodness my fiancé is a more tactical driver as I wouldn’t have been able to park it). I had a question for Jacqui and she was very quick to respond, which was much appreciated. It was a great place to stay for our short overnight trip, would stay here again.

Absolutely incredible stay! I cannot say enough good things about this Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, everything was spotless, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully prepared. The host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome—fresh towels, cozy bedding, and even some local recommendations that ended up being trip highlights. The location was perfect—close to everything, but still peaceful and private. It truly felt like a home away from home. I’ve stayed in a lot of Airbnbs, and this was easily one of the best. I enjoyed staying at Vivian's place and it worked just fine for my purposes. I was in town for a conference and the home is about a 20 minute walk to the convention center. The apartment was well appointed and I appreciated the in-unit washer and dryer. The home is in a quiet area of the city and fairly residential. There weren't many people walking around when I was coming back at night, which did give me pause as a solo female traveler, however I found the surroundings to be safe and had no problems.

Our stay in San Diego was truly memorable, thanks in large part to this fantastic condo. Its central location made it easy to explore everything the city has to offer—SeaWorld, the zoo, museums, Liberty Station, and the beaches—all just a short drive away. One of the highlights for our two-year-old was watching planes take off and land nearby, which added an extra layer of excitement to our trip. The condo was one of the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in it truly made us feel at home. The hosts were incredibly kind, responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again—thank you for a wonderful experience!

Great and beautiful place! So close to the beach! Had all the amenities except a kitchen sponge for dishes. The cleaning crew came a day before check out, which was a little uncomfortable.. but overall the location and place were great and the host was so nice and responsive!

Upon arrival we were nervous as the outside of the building was old and is in rough condition, but the rental itself was updated and beautiful. Parking was provided but the spot is challenging to get in and out of especially if there’s a car is in the spot behind you. The view was unbeatable, decor tastefully done and place was stocked well. The beds and all seating were very comfortable. We appreciated the seating on the patio where we spent a lot of time watching surfers and the crashing waves. The binoculars were a nice addition. Access to the water was available on either side of the building. We would definitely stay here again. We had a lovely experience.

Loved the place and location. Very safe and parking in a secured garage. It felt very homey and would definitely go back.
