Carton Bungalow

PaulRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We stayed here as a stop-off between the Dun Laoghaire ferry port and the Sligo coast. After a long journey we couldn’t have asked for a better, more welcoming and well equipped property. Maureen had thought of everything - supplies in the kitchen cupboards (enough for us to make a breakfast) and shower facilities that felt like an upmarket boutique hotel. The place was very clean and the beds very comfy. Maureen’s directions were really good and Mullingar seemed a really nice place. We highly recommend Carton Bungalow. Many thanks Maureen.

The Tin Shed

This stay was everything I had hoped for and more. The large living room windows made us feel fully immersed in nature, while the space itself—both the living room and bedroom—was incredibly cozy, peaceful, and safe. Yvonne is a truly exceptional host. She went out of her way to help us with a few rides and even some laundry, all with such kindness and generosity. She made us feel completely at home and genuinely welcomed us back anytime. Thank you, Yvonne, for making my Ireland experience reflect the warmth and hospitality for which the country is known. I’ll never forget it.

Eileen's place was absolute serenity. Super quiet and a wonderful place to come back to after a busy day out exploring. Only a 10 minute drive into Tullamore, so easy access to shops and restaurants. We found it a great central location to enjoy day trips from. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice, quiet base.

We had a great stay at Jolene’s place. Communication was excellent throughout—she was responsive and helpful. The house was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. After a wet and chilly weekend at Mullingar Equestrian Centre, we really appreciated coming back to a warm home with the heat already on. A thoughtful and welcoming host. Highly recommend!

I loved the place and Maeve was very responsive and she was very helpful!!! Her home is so quant and quiet. She gave us places to go and see. She also gaves us a beautiful town to go see!! She couldn't have been more helpful and amazing. It was the best experience ever. The home was always warm, even though it was a cold spell. Loved the fireplace to help stay warm!

The Old Willow Forge

Hazel & EricRating, 5 stars1 day ago
John & Candice are warm & friendly hosts and their place is so comfortable and homely. It’s always a delight to return here after a day out working in the area. It will always be my “go to” when working in this area. The only downfall is that the secret is out now, others are also loving it so availability will no doubt be scarce. :-)
