Shannonview Selfcatering

Connie was an excellent communicator. My family and I loved the house, equipped with absolutely everything you would need for a stay, cooking equipment, etc. House was spotlessly clean and maintained. Beds were super comfy. The view was stunning. The location of Terryglass is fab for some food and drink. We are looking forward to staying again. The house was also super warm.

Our men had a great stay ,all was clean and good, thank you ! I can highly recommend John as a host and I’d look up for his house if we needed to stay in area again .
A serene water surface reflects the clear blue sky and surrounding greenery. The calm water reveals a sandy bottom, with small fish swimming among dark aquatic plants. Sunlight creates gentle ripples across the surface, enhancing the natural beauty of the scene.

Super Cute and Cosy Log Cabin

tomRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We loved Marita's log cabin. It was clean, comfortable and great facilities to allow basic self catering. Marita was very kind and met us at checkin, though we had a contingency if we arrived when she was away. The place was spotless. Nice sheltered spot outside to take meals. The shower was great. kitchen equipped with kettle, toaster, microwave and air fryer. Leaving items for breakfast and treats was a lovely touch. A great location to explore the Western shores of lough Derg. We visited Wastelands, Wilde Chocolate, Portumna Workhouse, Castle and Gardens. Finishing our road trip at the swimming area. Marita's place is highly recommended.
A bright living area features a large glass sliding door that provides a view of open fields and blue skies. Vaulted ceilings with a skylight allow natural light to fill the space. A cozy yellow armchair and a modern television are visible, enhancing the inviting ambiance.

Cosy Cottage & Lake views

HelenRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Frances was the perfect host. She met us on arrival, gave us a quick tour and explanation of the essentials and she'd even been kind enough to get in some groceries which was very much appreciated after a long day. The house is spotless and so comfortable with hotel quality beds and bedding and a whole host of extras you rarely get. I particularly loved the Brita water jug for fresh water and not being reliant on bottles. The bath was heavenly and aesthetically, anyone who popped in to visit us raved about the place and how beautiful it was. We arrived just after wifi was installed and it was very much appreciated too. Very often in rentals you get the feeling it's been kitted out with bits and bobs, but everything here felt very considered and of great quality. The views down to the lake were amazing and rain or shine you could just pass the day watching it. Ultimately this feels like a home but with hotel quality. Far more than a rental. Highly recommend. Huge thanks Frances.

Barnaby was a great host and the cute property smelled great. From freshly manicured grass to flowers and blackberries across the trails, it was a great place to relax. Instructions were clear and helpful. I hope to be back to see what else the host has planned for the charming property.
