All as described and we enjoyed our stay. Karen was responsive. Little outside of Bath but that’s what we wanted. We loved cycling, running and walking along the canal which is about 5 minutes away. Our stay at David and Jill’s place was one of our favourite Airbnb experiences we’ve ever had! We couldn’t have asked any more from them, we were greeted on our arrival and they came over to check in on us as checked-out. We felt so looked after! David and Jill have thought about absolutely everything at the property, and the space is contemporary whilst also feeling cosy and relaxing. My partner and I wish we could move in!! The location is amazing, it is so quiet and peaceful, yet you can drive into big towns within 10-15 mins. David and Jill have such an amazing knowledge of the area and told us all the good spots to eat and explore throughout our stay - which was also conveniently all printed out and put into a folder for us to look through at our own leisure too. We only wish we could have stayed longer! We will 100% be back. Thank you Jill and David for having us, and for making our weekend so special :)

Lodge with stunning Mendip view near to Wells

KathrynRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Lyn and David are the most wonderful hosts! David build the home from the ground up and it is very beautiful! We loved how homely it felt, comfortable beds, views that are out of this world and a really peaceful place to be! We can’t thank you both enough for allowing us to share your slice of Mendip Hills beauty!! Lyn left some homemade scones which were to die for! We have to revisit as we didn’t explore all the amazing walks and Wells in more detail , and would not think twice to stay again. PS there is a beautiful little shepherds hut nearby with the same amazing views also built by David (Lyn said because he was bored!) Hopefully David remains bored, we look forward to his next amazing space/s. We highly recommend you visit!

Stunning Secluded Luxury Shepherds Hut with Views

AmandaRating, 5 stars1 day ago
The Shepherds Hut was amazing, so cozy, clean and comfortable. Trish has thought of everything. The table and benches turn in to the bed base, with space underneath to store your bags. The bed was really comfortable and we both had a great nights sleep. The shower was great, towels provided. It's in a really quiet location and we had the added pleasure of seeing a glorious peacock on our arrival ! Trish is a really great host, lots of attention to detail such as: fresh free range eggs, cans of gin and tonic, chocolate biscuits, milk and a bottle of cold water in the fridge. Plus marshmallows for melting by a fire and a jar of sweets. Games to play, a folder with details of local pubs (all dog friendly), maps for local walks and booklets of places to visit. We recommend the Red Lion at Castle Eaton, a really friendly and welcoming pub, with very tasty food. We really enjoyed our weekend, so much to do and right in the heart of the Cotswolds. Thank you Trish

Hideaway in quintessential Wiltshire village

FrannyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The most wonderful stay in the most beautiful little hut. From the moment I arrived I felt instantly relaxed. Emily has created the most perfectly peaceful space, inside and out. She is also a wonderful host & was able to help me with my forgotten item. Waking up to the sound of the birds, with the greenery outside the window was my favourite part. Emily’s hut is a delightfully comfortable space and the log burner keeps you very cosy in the evening. The village itself is also delightful to walk around, there is plenty to explore in the area and a great pub on the doorstep. The only downside was checking out.

Luxury Shepherds Hut in the heart of the Cotswolds

MarianRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Perfectly situated for a peaceful weekend. Made friends with the chickens who came to visit. Glad we visited when we did because the sun shone both days at the end of May. Shower was beautifully hot and all facilities more than adequate. John Lewis towels. Walked to Horse and Groom in the village (10 mins) for a delicious meal; such a shame it is being modernised in next couple of years. Couldn't walk to Daylesford Organic as too far along winding roads with no footpaths so drove and what a delight that was. We bought food from the deli for our dinner and two breakfasts. Highly recommend this shepherds hut.

Luxury self-contained cabin with hot tub near Bath

My husband and I stayed for two nights to celebrate our anniversary, and we loved it. Tony gave us a really warm welcome, which was such a nice start to the trip. The place was exactly what we were looking for—peaceful, relaxing, and in a lovely area. The cabin itself was spotless, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the little personal touches like the anniversary banners and welcome sign made it feel extra special. The hot tub was amazing. We’d love to come back. Thank you Val and Tony!

Cosy Shepherds Hut fab views National Trust Lacock

ChristineRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Our stay at the Shepherds hut exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful inside and out, spotlessly clean, tasteful decor and had everything we needed for a relaxed and pleasant stay. The view was stunning and Lacock is 15 min walk away. We were fortunate with the weather but it would still be great in the cold or rain. Our host Dilly was lovely and would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend.

Me and my husband had a really lovely stay in Jen's cottage. The house is beautiful and comfortable, although it was still a bit chilly early in the mornings despite the sunny days. The village feels like you've stepped out of the modern world for a moment, and everyone is kind and friendly. We enjoyed some great walks and found excellent food both at the Chalford Community Shop and the nearby Lavender Bakehouse. Thanks again, Jen, for allowing us to stay in your amazing place!

We had a wonderful long weekend, Harriet gave us a long list of local restaurants, shops, and eateries. The wagon was spotless and homely, with a gorgeous view across the valley. We were lucky enough to be given some fresh eggs by Francis and Harriet, which were delicious. We spent some time at the Woodsheddings beer hall which Harriet recommended, and we recommend too! Thank you to Harriet and Francis for a wonderful stay, we’ll be sure to come back soon.

Upper Hen Pod- Luxury Lakeside Glamping, Cotswolds

JohnRating, 5 stars3 days ago
A great place to stay, relax and get away from your normal hustle and bustle of every day life. The pod was very secluded a lovely little get away set by a peaceful lake, it was surprisingly spacious with room for 2 move around in with everything you need to make your stay a pleasure. It was also very clean with nice little touches such as fresh cut flowers, a welcome note and a well received bottle of Prosecco. The hot tub was a hit adding another touch to make your stay more relaxing to unwind, it was also easy to use. Recommend the hamper giving you two days for a good quality hearty breakfast in the morning. And to round it off Jenny and Simon were great hosts friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend a stay in the Upper Hen Pod at Horton Hill.
