Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Kennet and Avon Canal

Had a fabulous few days with the family which included 2 children and a dog. Property suited us perfectly with good walks nearby. Wonderful day out to Longleat. Amazing pottery experience with Trevor which was great fun for all the family. Would recommend The 3 Daggers pub for early evening meal.

We had a fantastic time at Jasmine Cottage, it was characterful and cosy with everything we needed for our stay. The garden was a real bonus and meant our daughter could play freely while we had a glass of wine in the sun. Location couldn’t be better, a 5min stroll from the centre of Bourton, perfect.

I have stayed at Katherine’s a few times in recent years and the property does not disappoint. A welcoming, convenient and comfortable base close to Corsham Court and the high street which has some great restaurants and shopping. Having a dog, I appreciate the garden and fencing improvements since my last visit, which enabled me to sit out on the deck when the weather was warm. Katherine is a great host who always makes guests welcome, there is Prosecco and milk in the fridge on arrival, as well as great biscuits! Altogether a lovely place to stay and I will definitely return.

Great location in the middle of Castle Combe, to stay in a property with so much history was fascinating. The house was clean, everything worked, beds are very comfortable. Marlit replied promptly to our questions making everything very easy. We had a great stay.

What a lovely relaxing and peaceful place to stay! Would highly recommend climbing Martinsell using the map book available by the tv. Would highly recommend this area plenty to do and enough privacy if needing that also.

What a fabulous little place to stay in the heart of a beautiful village. It's bigger inside the cottage than it appears on the photos. Clean, fresh linen and a very comfortable bed. Wonderful location, once parked up you can easily walk around the village where there are many shops, cafes and pubs. It's easy and quick to drive from here to other locations such as Bourton-on-the-Water which is stunning and well worth a visit. Heather was fast to respond and an excellent host. An absolute gem of place all round 😊

We had a lovely stay at Aston Cottage over the May bank holiday weekend. We were a family of 6 adults and 2 children. The older adults did plenty of walking around the Estate, and the children had a great time in the play areas, soft play and the swimming pool! Two of the adults brought their own bikes and made good use of these too. Alex and Emma were excellent hosts, and were very responsive to any queries we had, both before we arrived and after. There was a small hiccup with the hot water, but this was soon sorted, once I raised. The early check in was very welcome, and so by the time our supermarket shop arrived, we were all set to start the weekend. The house and bathrooms were well equipped with condiments and bathroom 'stuff'. The Pizza shack was a great find! The only negative comments were that it was difficult to warm up the cottage, and the cleaners could pay more attention to detail, ie oven needs cleaning and there were many cobwebs! Thank you both!

Ann's place is incredible- stayed for two nights and there is everything you could possibly need or anticipate in the house. We had a great time - the pool and hot tub were very clean and the house was perfect! Ann was extremely responsive and helpful. Would absolutely book again!

We had a great stay at the barn, celebrating a big birthday. There were 6 adults staying and we were all extremely comfortable. Mike and Joan were very hospitable, generous and responsive. The barn is as fabulous as the photos suggest. The views are amazing. The pool is wonderful. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. We very much hope to return.

Absolutely beautiful—both the house and the surroundings! To stay in such a remarkable, comfortable, clean and beautiful, old place right in the heart of the cotswolds—it was truly lovely. So peaceful and quiet! Rachel was a kind and helpful host right next door. Make sure you pay good attention to her directions to get there—it was a little tricky. Also, the ceilings in the bathroom, living room and dining room really are only about 6 feet, with doorways and other things even shorter. We’re tall and we still loved it but it’s definitely something to keep in mind. The kitchen and bedrooms were all much taller. We’d love to return one day and stay again!!! Thanks you!

This was everything we needed and more, there is a range of sports equipment, toys and books for the kids and travel cots, all sorts of thoughtful items. An abundance of under explained helpful additions that make it a very well thought out accommodation and place to stay. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Fairhazel was a lovely cottage. Spotlessly clean with many thoughtful touches and lots of goodies. Lower Mill Estate is a lovely place to stay with lots to do - paddle boarding, swimming, walking, tennis and cycling. We would definitely recommend and will return. Thank you Jason

Victoria’s flat was amazing! She definitely deserves a 5+ rating! What a wonderful find! The charming town of Tetbury is easily walkable from “The Retreat”. There are so many places to eat, drink, walk, shop and explore. We would love to return! Thank you, Victoria, for sharing your lovely flat with us! It was perfect!

We had an all too brief two night stay and it was lovely. Peaceful, lovely little woods for the dog to exercise in lots of bird song and near so many pretty places for walks. We swam in the chew and the Avon. Walked round publow and Compton dando. Many more places we’d go if had time. Marjon was extremely helpful with queries and suggestions. Definitely recommend this place

Had an absolutely lovely week long stay here- superb in every respect and Lucy and Fred were wonderful hosts. I really appreciated the fresh eggs and also I’m sure the presence of the chickens coming to visit me every day certainly helped me with my writing! Honestly one of the nicest air bnbs we've every stayed in. Beautiful buildings with so many thoughtful touches, and stunning views. Karma, Mike and Ian were so helpful and friendly, and very generous with a welcome basket and stocked kitchen. Loved saying hello to locals on the nearby footpath, not to mention the gorgeous horses and dog. Can't reccomend enough. x

We couldn't have asked more from our stay at The Loft. Close enough to enjoy busy Bath, but far enough out of the city to enjoy the peaceful, private countryside. We felt like we were in our own little oasis! The hot tub was a real treat. We were lucky with the weather and was able to take advantage and sit outside into the evening. I would fully recommend The Loft and are hoping to come back again next year!

We had the most wonderful stay over Easter weekend at Grove Farm. The barn is spacious , beautifully and thoughtfully renovated , large kitchen and family rooms, very well appointed and well laid out and was very comfortable for our family of 5 adults, a toddler and a baby. The views are beautiful and the nearby footpath was ideal for our family. We thoroughly enjoyed our memorable stay here !
