If you relax in a bathtub surrounded by natural stone, it's like being in a hidden hot spring inn. At night, the illuminated garden creates a fantastic atmosphere. The Japanese-style room has a veranda and a fluffy futon. We also recommend enjoying tea while looking out at the Japanese garden from the wooden deck. In the morning, the birds chirp, in the afternoon, the quiet heals you, and in the evening, you are wrapped in hot steam and your heart is relaxed. The kitchen is fully equipped with basic facilities such as a rice cooker, microwave, and refrigerator. There are also convenience stores and restaurants within a 10-minute walk, so there are no daily inconveniences. It is also a convenient location as a base for sightseeing, and access to major spots is also good. Parking is available for 1 regular car and 1 small car. I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.

YAMANOTE HOUSE is accessible from major Kansai stations with 37min from Kyoto Sta. or 65min from Osaka Sta. If you come by car from Kyoto it takes less than 1 hour. The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.
