This home has modern amenities with rustic charm. Located in a private grove with the sounds of a nearby waterfall, you can hike all the magical trails crisscrossing the 5-acre property! Note: It can be a slushy or snowy 3-min walk up through the trees in the winter. Assistance with luggage and supplies can be provided.

Our property is very peaceful and private surrounded by nature with stunning views of the Purcell Mountains. It is a 30 min walk or 5 min drive to the charming town of Kaslo. Perfect for families who enjoy being in nature and around animals. Our spacious guest suite has its own completely level entrance, is suitable for people with disabilities and is wheelchair friendly. I have endeavored to create a comfortable space that provides a wonderful base for adventuring. The walls are covered in local art, I love showcasing local artisans. Paintings are reminiscent of Nelson and are for sale. The beautiful king sized bed and live edge wood counters are taken from sustainably harvested trees and created by a local craftsman. The upstairs is spacious and features a wood burning stove. The downstairs is a beautiful grotto bathroom with a sunken tub big enough for two.

The Caravan

Enjoy a memorable and unique experience in the 'Caravan', a tiny home built on the back of a 1967 International Loadstar. Cozy up and read a book in the spacious loft bed or take a bath in the outdoor tub (May - Oct). Have a romantic getaway, or bring your family of 3 and make use of the twin futon. Walk or ride your bike right out the door on our trails and take in one of the classes or events at For-rest Retreat. Salmo is the perfect place to stay and explore the beauty of the Kootenays.

Kaslo High Haven: Immaculate/Peaceful/Private

Come and enjoy a fresh, spacious, immaculate haven in beautiful Kaslo, BC. Our suite overlooks the beautiful Purcell mountain range and is surrounded by forest. We are located in upper Kaslo, a short walk to trails along the river and a 15 minute walk to the village and the lake (or a 30 second drive! ) This cottage is a place to relax, take in the mountain air, and explore what Kaslo has to offer. Pet Friendly! There is a suite downstairs that is also a nightly rental.
