Family-friendly vacation rentals in Joshua Tree

We stayed at Jamie's place as part of annual girls' trip, and it was absolutely perfect. The house is wonderful and the surroundings are beautiful! There was plenty of space for us to spread out, both inside and out, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and the beds were comfortable. Jamie is a very proactive host and had very clear instructions. We all would stay here again without a doubt!

OMG! Words simply cannot express the beauty that Ryan captured within his home in Joshua Tree. It is truly what other comments also awe over. The scenery, the outdoor patio with the cowboy pool, jacuzzi and daybed are truly just as described/photographed. We cannot wait to check out Ryan’s other architectural projects and/or plan another stay at Starfire 2! Thank you Ryan!!!

Great place with awesome amenities. Pool and hot tub were awesome. Spent many hours playing table tennis. Definitely going to come back!

This was one of the most amazing stays I have ever had through Airbnb. I fell in love with the house and property as soon as I arrived. As someone from the "Baby Boomer" generation, the mid 20th century architecture, furnishings and "vibe" of the house were a delight to experience! I was looking for a retreat-like experience, and in that regard the property was just perfect for me! I loved the privacy, and the views from the house and the property were truly outstanding! It was so quiet and so incredibly peaceful. It is the perfect location to watch the sunset with the mountains in the background, and I really enjoyed making a fire in the outdoor fireplace after sunset each night. I literally did not want to leave when it was time for me to check out! I enjoyed a visit to Joshua Tree National Park which is just minutes away from the house, and the hot tub and pool were amazing. Jenn was very friendly and easy to get ahold of for any questions. I can't wait to return!

Diane was an incredible host! Her and the Hidden Passage crew have created such a beautiful and peaceful oasis and made mine and my partner’s anniversary vacation an absolute dream! It truly felt like we were removed from society for a small moment and that’s exactly what we needed. The property was so well managed and kept so pristine! Every staff member we met on site was so kind and extremely helpful! I could not recommend this place enough! Also the pool rocks, we spent every single day in it!

My family and I had a great time. The place its beautiful. The bedrooms are big , beds are comfortable, the kitchen had everything that we needed to cook. The outside is very relaxing and peaceful. The spa and pool are very clean. Overall I do recommend staying here. Perfect staycation for us we were celebrating a birthday.

Amazing place to stay Very clean Spacious Big piece of land Very nice furniture And you walk to Pioneer town

What an amazing place! The property is nestled in the boulders and is practically its own park. In addition, the surroundings have the traces, ruins (?), of a major performance art space that was active in the late 1990s. There are funky twisted metal parts of domes, solar powered mood lighting, wooden stages, and dozens of little areas with chairs, tables, and gold painted bedframes for camping out. A little eerie? Yes. But that's not a bad thing, if you are willing to go with the vibe. Separate from the property, the house is super well-appointed. Solid kitchen set-up, extensive games / toys, expansive first aid kit, and more.

Marcos place was awesome, beautiful backyard where we enjoyed watching sunset, we enjoyed the hot-tub, also the kitchen had everything so we easily cooked our dinner, Marcos was quick to respond to the situation which came during our stay

Great place! Pool was amazing. No TV we felt was brilliant as it encouraged real connection time together. Highly recommend😊

Cool, funky desert house with thoughtful vintage and local touches. Tons of indoor and outdoor seating and super private. The hot tub underneath the Joshua Tree was a great touch!

You will not be disappointed if you stay here. Great location and great place all around. Would definitely stay here again.

A friend and I stayed here during a trip to check out Joshua Tree NP. The location was perfect for checking out the park and the surroundings are gorgeous. Everything was clean and comfortable and I appreciated the tasteful decor. Unfortunately, the weather was too cold to enjoy the beautiful pool but we had a nice time in the hot tub. I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely stunning home & property. We come to Joshua tree area a lot but this is the best Airbnb we’ve stayed at. Worth every penny. There are so many added touches that make it feel like a resort! Went with another couple and it’s the perfect place for two couples to go for a get away- exactly equal sized rooms/bathrooms/robes for 4. Felt like we still had some privacy while sharing a home. Super close to Pappys & red dog (like 10 min drive) and 15 or so minutes to the main strip with restaurants/shops/vintage store. We can’t wait to come back.

This was our second stay here. It’s so beautiful, clean, quiet, and a perfect location. The views are amazing, especially at night. It’s safe and feels remote but isn’t far from JTNP.

We had a wonderful stay at Jessica’s Airbnb! The home is absolutely beautiful, thoughtfully decorated, spacious, and designed with comfort in mind. There are plenty of cozy seating areas, both inside and out, perfect for relaxing and great conversation. The property sits slightly elevated, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape, especially at sunset. At night, we enjoyed incredible stargazing under the clear skies. The pool was crystal clear and incredibly refreshing, perfect for a dip during the day. The outdoor lounging areas, BBQ grill, and full kitchen made it easy to cook, dine, and unwind. We truly appreciated the space, privacy, and peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Erin’s space was perfect!! We stayed for a little girl’s get away. Tucked away nicely but not so far out that it was hard to get around. Such a warm and open space. Her attention to detail is unmatched!! Would stay here again and again. The star gazing boat was the best!!

Really cool place…peace and quiet, nice views, close to the park. Very roomy inside and very well insulated. We opened all the windows at night and closed them all before we left for the park. The place was still nice and cool inside when we got back. Breakfast on the front porch, outstanding. We would highly recommend this place.

What a wonderful place! Very peaceful calm and serene. Beautifully decorated with a lot of art and cool stuff that really gives character to the place. Felt like a retreat and the view of the mountains are priceless. Clare was very kind responsive! If you are looking for peace and quiet but also being close to town this is the place.

This was our first time in Joshua Tree, and quite honestly I can’t imagine a better place to have stayed. The house itself feels as though it was built from the surrounding area - incredibly homey while also being stylish. It was extremely comfortable and it was in the perfect location. The view is incredible and the sunsets and sunrises are precious. Cannon the host was wonderful to communicate with and was very friendly. I would recommend this stay to anyone.
