Stone Cottage in Grounds of a 16th-Century Castle

The cottage sits on the grounds of a castle dating back to 1543 offering an authentic stay. The interior retains a decor that matches the historic charm of the area with modern comforts added and a shared pool in the stunning gardens outside. This is our smallest cottage and cannot take an additional bed or cot. The other cottages are all larger and can do this. All 3 cottages can be rented separately or together. They are in the grounds of a 16th century castle with beautiful gardens and large swimming pool enclosed by stone walls. The lower salon and summer kitchen in the main chateau is available to share. Access is by the side garden gate and all cottages are accessed by stone steps- sadly not suitable for wheelchairs. We will most likely be present living in the main Chateau and available to help and advise about restaurants and things to do in the area. We will share the pool and gardens. The old village is in a beautiful part of France that is has retained its iconic beauty through the centuries and still feels untouched by modern life in many places. Experience true local dining and bakeries with scenic walking trails all around. parking is in the church square below the Chateau. There is a local taxi service in the village and bus service to Avignon, Banyols sur Ceze and Uzes but car hire is recommended. We are 20 minutes from Avignon TGV rail station and about an hour from Marseille, Nimes or Montpellier airports. The cottages are completely private and tranquil.

Le Mas de l'Escarrat, charming "Ouvèze" cottage.

This cottage for 2 people is located on the ground floor. Its easy-access entrance is independent. With its Provencal decoration, it has all the comforts to guarantee you a pleasant stay. From its private terrace, shaded by a pergola, you will have stunning views of the garden and the vineyards. The 25 m² studio is equipped with a queen-size bed (180 x 200 cm), or two single beds (90 x 200 cm), a fully equipped kitchen, a living area, and a bathroom with toilet. Reversible wifi and air conditioning.

This former 18th century sheepfold will seduce you with its atypical and bright layout. From the terrace you will have access to your private (unheated) swimming pool, its beach and its arbor. Bikes welcome: the Via Venaissia (bike route) is 50 m away and joins other routes. You have a private outdoor space (not fenced) and access to the shared swimming pool (unheated) (June to September) and the garden.

My life in Provence

"Ma vie là en Provence" is a small cocoon nestled behind my house, in a quiet area of Jonquières and a stone's throw from all the shops. The villa offers all the amenities necessary for a pleasant stay for families or groups of friends. On the other hand, in order to maintain the tranquility of the neighborhood, parties and lively evenings are not allowed.
