This cute two bedroom home located in the center of Huntington was built in 1937 by a local bee keeper. The decorations through the house resemble this couples love and respect for bees. The “honey house” behind the home was the main site for extracting honey throughout his career. If you’re looking for a great mountain retreat but still have the comforts of home like a kitchen, hot shower and wifi then this is the place! It is off grid, but with the solar and generator plus wifi it feels like it’s not. Also, the outdoor area to spend time in is wonderful! Quiet and peaceful with clean mountain air!

Me, my husband, & our friend really fell in love with Kristine's house. We came here to go bouldering at Joe's Valley for a few days & it was a great location for that + near grocery stores & other shops. Very peaceful area. We enjoyed eating & hanging out outside the patio area. Kristine responded at a timely manner to any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely loved our stay, 5 stars all the way! The place was spacious, beautiful, and incredibly comfortable, making it perfect for our family getaway. It was very family-friendly, with plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained, which made our stay so much more relaxing. We especially enjoyed getting to see the horses - such a special treat! We’re honestly sad we didn’t have time to go for a ride! The amenities were fantastic, and everything we needed was provided. The hosts were amazing — super responsive, welcoming, and genuinely kind. You can tell they really care about creating a great experience for their guests. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a peaceful and fun family escape!
