We visit our son and DIL who live nearby, and know we would love to book this home in the future. Michael took a chance on us, allowing me to host a family dinner in honor of a special family occasion. It was magical. The back porch lends itself to gatherings with friends and family. I loved sitting on the front porch overlooking the pond with my coffee watching the various birds, including hummingbirds. The house was well-appointed, comfortable and stocked with necessities. The shower in the master bathroom was total LUX! Mainly, Michael was one of the most responsive and enthusiastic hosts I’ve worked with in my many years of staying at AirbnB’s. Thank you so much!

A friend and I stayed here for a 24 visit to Richmond. This is a great walkable location.. lots of restaurants and bars. Parking was great. The house itself was even more charming in person. We loved the high ceilings, old hardwood floors and original moldings. The place was very clean and everything was easy to use. Kristin gave us clear instructions and she was very responsive. I believe there was mention of the noise from the restaurant across the street where there is a large outdoor patio and close enough to hear lots of loud chatting. However, it was not a problem whatsoever as it is not a ruckus-y bar and it also closes at 11pm. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again.

Thoroughly enjoyed my return visit to Patricia’s gem of a cottage. In my experience, it is rare to find a beautifully crafted and cared for cottage in a gorgeous wooded setting just 10 minutes from civilization. Also, and importantly, Patricia herself is a generous, joyful host; and her hen house with exotic chickens, and meandering grounds are a delight to explore.

Amazing place with lots of privacy in the woods. Tou can hear the river flowing from the window and walk on the river side just outside the place.

Amy is warm, responsive, and provided fantastic local suggestions that really elevated our trip. Highlights included the community center with Trager’s coffee (a perfect morning stop), a fun local thrift shop, and a charming rock shop that felt like a hidden treasure. The neighborhood had such a welcoming, creative vibe—we loved exploring it all. And for the disc golfers out there: Walnut Hill Park is about 30 minutes away and absolutely worth the trip. It was every bit as amazing as we hoped—great course, beautiful setting, must go play!! We will be back!!! This place is a perfect mix of comfort, character, and local flavor!

Nice home, very clean and comfortable- super convenient location. Quiet back yard with plenty of seating. Highly recommend for the quality of the home, furnishings and appliances. We will use this place again.

We loved our time at this peaceful property. It was nice to wake up and hear the farm animals nearby. My son loved being able to play basketball and use the pool. Everything was clean and comfortable. Thank you!

This place is heaven. My friend and I stayed in the cottage which had everything we needed. Check in and out were both simple. The property is gorgeous and the waterfall is accessible by foot or vehicle. Il also loved being able to bring my dog. Highly recommended and I hope to return in the future!

We had family and friends in from out of state for my granddaughters high school graduation. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The views and the house were beautiful. Heather was a wonderful host, very responsive to our requests and needs. Hopefully the house will be available in a few years for my granddaughters collage graduation, she loved the setting so much she would love to come back. Lynne

We brought our dog along for a beach adventure at The Laughing King. We had an amazing time and MJ was a wonderful host. We stayed in the little hi eymoon cottage and it was quaint and well-appointed. The loft ladder was a bit tricky but once you got up there the bed was super comfortable! We enjoyed walking around and exploring Cape Charles (just a quick 15/20 minute car ride away with plenty of free street parking around town) but our favorite day was playing out on the private sand bar with our dog. We all had a blast on the sandbar and next time will pack a lunch and stay out longer! The property itself was secluded, quiet and private. Perfect for sitting on the porch with coffee watching the tide roll in. They had paddle boards and kayaks to use in the calm backwaters as well as a fire pit and a nice pool. The reviews about MJs wonderful breakfasts were spot on - his quiche was superb. Overall we had a wonderful time at The Laughing King and we would highly recommend it

This is a lovely and homey cottage. Very beautiful courtyard, backyard and pool area. The hosts were friendly and very helpful with suggestions when our original excursion was cancelled. The kitchen was very nicely stocked and had everything we needed. The beds are very firm.

We loved our stay at this condo in Wintergreen. The condo was beautifully furnished. Very clean. And the views from the balcony are unbelievable. Since it was spring, it was very quiet which we enjoyed. The mountains were so lush and green. The host responded to any questions within minutes. Check out was a breeze. We will be booking again!

Words cannot describe how wonderful our stay was. The location, the accommodations, and the ‘residents’ of Grateful Meadows were absolutely magical. We really enjoyed our time there, and are extremely thankful we found it. Such a great experience, thank you!

Here is the text for the review because I know you don’t wanna do it Natasha 😝 This home was extremely well stocked. The host had thought of everything at this lovely home. Check in was easy. We were welcomed by homemade cookies, eggs from the farm, milk, orange juice, bread and more. The home was very clean. Plenty of towels and the robes in each room was a nice touch! The hosts were very friendly and responsive. My friends brought their three little dogs who also enjoyed the stay while watching the cows, sheep, and goats on the farm!

Angela was a great host! She replied very quickly to my questions and was very accommodating to my request for an early check in. Our daughter graduated from Longwood on Saturday and our stay here made everything more than enjoyable. We were so close to everything and Angela’s check in instructions were so clear it made check in a breeze. The apartment was immaculate. In addition to everything being incredibly organized (labels on cabinets to avoid having to search for things; very nice touch) the beds were very comfortable and plenty of towels were available in both bedrooms. I would definitely recommend Angela and her location again!

Spacious and cozy! Lots of room, stocked with everything you need; beds are comfy, space is clean; walkable to coffee shop, restaurants and everything on main st.; stayed for 3 weeks during training and it was more than I needed in a home away from home - highly recommend!

I absolutely loved my stay here! I was obsessed with the modern farmhouse style—the decor was stunning and clearly designed with care. The owner did an incredible job creating a space that feels both stylish and welcoming. She was so responsive and helpful, offering great recommendations in the area that made my visit even better. I especially appreciated the beautifully manicured outdoor space—perfect for my pups to enjoy and explore. Truly a special place with a lot of heart. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Everything about our stay was excellent! Tug boat is so unique. Everything we needed was there. The property is really special. We had so much fun on the lake. Friendly hosts we would definitely plan to return.

What a great place for our family to stay during W&L Graduation week! The location is beautiful and just a few minutes from downtown Lexington! We loved being right next to the tasting room to just walk over and grab a few of bottles of wine! I loved that my dogs were able to be a part of our mini-vacay. The gated back area was so convenient and perfect for our pups. I would recommend getting there during the daylight. The gravel road to the guest house is dark. Overall an amazing stay!

One of life’s milestones, spent five days in a cabin by a beautiful river, We were there with our four adult children, sitting on the front porch, just chatting and wading in the river, couple evenings of fires in the fire pit, and two sit-down dinners in the screened enclosure. Fantastic. Late night runs to the nearby Cook-Out, for shakes and fries. And five minutes to SVU, VMI, and W & L. Not in the boondocks, but it’s very very remote and unspeakably beautiful.
