The historic house shows the year 1773 painted on the walls. The house was originally in the village's cluster and was bombed during World War II. When the farm building was constructed, the remains of the house were set up as a living room next to the barn and today it appears as an intimate and cozy little house with a lot of history and soul. All amenities are, of course, completely modern. The home in the middle of the valley, down towards the fjord and innermost in Høgsfjorden, gives an unforgettable holiday in this old living room.

Benedikte's house on architect-designed Svindland farm

The Benedikte house is about 10 min drive from Egersund city center and about 5 min from E39. We have attempted to recreate the hospitality of Benedikte - the last one to stay in the old house - in this modern and completely newly built farmhouse on the outskirts of the courtyard of the Svindland farm. Here guests will find peace and idyll. On the farm there are horses, we have two dogs and a cozy peacock that runs freely. The house is very modern and well-equipped.

Enjoy your stay in a modern and cosy flat in the centre of town. Located on the top floor with private balcony, you can enjoy panoramic views of Stavanger. A shared roof terrace is also available. The bedroom has a large double bed. The bathroom has a washing washing machine that guests can use. The kitchen and living room is open plan and spacious, with necessary equipment for making your own meals. Bed linen and towels are included.

The cabin is located a bit by itself on the edge of a farm, beautifully situated on the slope down towards the idyllic Riskedalsvatnet. From the dining table or the terrace there is a view of the water. The cottage was built in the late 1980s, but has been completely refurbished with modern color choices in 2020. You will find everything you need in this cabin.
