Beautifully furnished, romantic and spacious ancient dovecote in a gorgeous peaceful countryside setting, the thick stone walls make it warm and cosy in winter, cool in summer as well as quiet and private. Private heated swimming pool available in summer. Upstairs there is a luxurious super kingsize bed, a rolltop bath, a huge velvet sofa and a 50" TV and downstairs is a shower room, kitchen and large dining area. A converted barn at Cann Common next to the main house with its own garden, patio and parking area. Located on a no-through road with only local residents traffic, giving a peaceful setting with views of the surrounding hills. Shaftesbury just over a mile with its historic Gold Hill and a good choice of shops and places to eat. It is a good base for exploring the area, offering historic houses, interesting gardens, walks, the Jurassic Coast, Stonehenge, Salisbury and Bath and much more.

The Vintage Hideaway

The vintage hideaway is a self contained annexe attached to my house. It is light and comfortable, it has a bedroom with sofa, kitchenette with small oven/grill and two hotplates ,fridge, freezer and microwave and a shower room. Access from the bedroom to a seating area on the deck ,over looking an area of outstanding natural beauty. The house is close to lovely walks and the historic town of Shaftesbury with a variety of cafes , individual shops and pubs, and of course Gold Hill.

Our home is in a typical Dorset village. It is one of the oldest properties in the village, but has been renovated to a really high standard. Everything is contemporary with a 'country' feel. The private Annex has it's own access via the rear garden and is connected to the house via a lockable door. The Annex is a bed sitting room with basic kitchen facilities, a shower room and outside area, all for your sole use. You can choose a Large double or 2 single beds in the room. Towels, soap and linen are provided. Teas/coffee/milk available in the room. TV, Fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, fan, iron/board, plates, cutlery. There's an Airfryer available on request.
