On the edge of the New Forest, set along the Avon Valley Footpath and across the road from the Avon River, we are ideally located for walking, cycling or bird watching in the beautiful Blashford Lakes. A cosy, self contained (detached) annex, with a separate bedroom and living area. Just a short 5 minute walk to the local pub (The Old Beams) or a slightly longer walk (during the day as no street lighting) around the lakes to our local farm shop and cafe (Hockeys Farm).

Fabulous peaceful place to stay and experience some lovely quiet and listen to birdsong and lovely countryside. We loved the tranquility and the simplicity of a few days staying in the comfortable Shepherds Hut and loved exploring the New Forest and the coast line. Hosts are so friendly and accommodating and the breakfast is exceptional. Good local recommendations and so much to do and good stuff in walking distance or a short drive away. Highly recommended for a back to nature and recharge those batteries trip.

The place was lovely, clean and cosy, with outside seating areas where we could watch the ponies any other wildlife that should chose to show up. The beds were perfectly clean and sooo comfortable. We knew there wasn’t kitchen facilities but there was everything we needed to eat snacks and the buffet type food we brought with us. Loren had provided milk, tea, coffee biscuits and a bottle of Prosecco which was very much appreciated as we relaxed and restored in the hot tub. There are lovely walks close by which was great for us as we were determined not to use the cars for the time we stayed there. Loren is a great host, very kind and helpful and only seen her if we needed anything. Will definitely be staying there again. Thank you Loren

We had a lovely time staying in Paul and Catherine's cottage. The cottage was clean, cosy and had everything we needed. It was easy to find thanks to really clear directions and there is a convenient parking spot. We were able to go for lovely walks straight from the front door and enjoyed the pubs within walking distance. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean and the shower was great. The information provided by the hosts made sure we knew everything we needed to know to enjoy our stay. The cottage is in a lovely location, is very picturesque and that added a really nice vibe to our trip. We would highly recommend it!

The Sail Loft: lovely River views

Stunning loft . It felt like we were up in the trees . Very stylish decor and comfortable bed . We were able to black out the whole apartment for a good sleep . We were made to feel very welcome . The outside space was so pretty , our own little area and the gardens beyond were reminiscent of Alice in wonderland . Locally it’s easy to walk into Fordingbridge rather than drive . We hope to be back . It was a really great find . Thankyou so much .

New Forest Hideaway

We stayed over a bank holiday weekend and were looking for an escape from the city - we got just that! Super peaceful, comfortable sofa and bed, fully usable kitchen, and the rainwater shower was perfect after long hikes. It wasn’t quite cool enough to light the fire but ample wood if we had wanted to. There are some really thoughtful design elements to Pippa’s place as well. Download AllTrails - there is a trail you can join just from the property, and loads others nearby. We went for a hike nearby called Godshill and didn’t see another soul until we were almost back to our car! We’d happily return again in the future.

Margaret and Derek's place was absolutely ideal for a short New Forest break; everything needed was provided. Lovely to be able to just step out for an early morning or late evening stroll and ideal for local walks and trips for bird watching at Blatchford Lakes. Also plenty of history in the area. Fabulous place for nature lovers.
