Duplex Apartment, Stunning Views

Just had an incredible weekend break at Jenny's gorgeous accommodation. I have seen other reviews saying that the photos and description doesn't do this place justice and I totally agree. The lodge had everything we needed, was perfectly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The views from the balcony are breathtaking!! The location is so picturesque, peaceful and clean and extremely close to Keswick. We took full advantage of the gym, swimming pool, sauna and hot tub, which was a brilliant way to start/finish the day. Also highly recommend the White Horse pub, where I have eaten the best chicken burger ever! Jenny, thank you for the kind and thoughtful treats. We highly recommend your place to anyone!! xxx

Hannah’s place is beautiful. It is really cozy, very clean and Hannah has thought about every detail. Hannah had fresh flowers in the windowsills, lovely bread and fudge waiting for us. Everything was perfect!

Riverside Rose Cottage, Pooley Bridge, Ullswater

We had a great stay and would love to return one day. We went as a family of 4 - with our 17 & 19 year old sons and all really enjoyed the holiday cottage. The stand out 'wow' is the beautiful garden that leads down to the river at the bottom....a very rare find. The cottage is in the heart of the village, so there's easy access to small shops and variety of pubs to eat in. We had mixed weather and so enjoyed local walks but were glad of the log burner and heating to warm up at the end of the day. There's still a beautiful view of the garden even if it's raining. The cottage was well equipped and homely - it was much lighter and brighter inside than we'd thought it would be. Great stay - Thank you.

Luxury Studio Apt near Ullswater Lake w/ Spa & Gym

We booked this accom very last minute(3hrs before we checked in), and turned out to be a great choice. Having never heard of Whitbarrow Village we did not know what to expect and was very pleased to find this apartment was part of a larger holiday village complex. The apartment was very well kitted out and had all mod cons you would want, some cleaning products and tea/coffee bits, plus a nice outdoor seating area and close access to the pool and games areas. The main reception building was very clean and the pool facilities were fantastic as well as the kids games area & cinema room (9yr old with us). Only a 15 min drive to Keswick or Penrith made it a great location just off the A66 but so peaceful & quiet. Friendly on-site staff and well maintained garden areas. Overall a great little find and will definetly stay at Whitbarrow Village again.

Whitbarrow - Luxury Duplex views/pool/hot tub/gym

We really enjoyed our stay here at Whitbarrow. The apartment was lovely, with the special addition of the balcony overlooking the beautiful views, which we enjoyed with a cuppa or two. Our boys loved the toys and the drawing that was available to play with but, of course, their highlight was the pool. Local distance to Lowther, buttermere, Penrith, pooley Bridge, Keswick etc so lots to do. We’ll be back soon! 🙂

Clare was a fantastic host! She was very thoughtful by providing essentials such as milk, butter, bread and jam which came in very handy! She was very friendly and provided us a space to stay that was very clean and homely. We loved how much there was to do as she had a great selection of books, DVD’s, music and board games to keep us entertained. Overall, it was a lovely place to stay and we would highly recommend it.

A beautiful location with easy access to the lake. Fabulous to swim and walk directly from the property with no need to get in your car. The sauna was a wonderful addition to warm up after our cold water swimming . A warm welcome with the nice basket of local product . Thank you Tina
