We had a lovely weekend get away stay. The dome had all the necessities as well as a sauna. Lots of wildlife too.

We had a great two nights at Charlie and Rebecca’s place. The outdoor areas were perfect for relaxing and very well maintained. We especially loved the well stocked and functional kitchen. Perfect spot for a comfortable night in and sightseeing in Lunenberg!

From booking to checking out, this was a great experience. The location was amazing. The place was clean and very welcoming. Thank you for the treats and the Tim’s coffee was an extra bonus. The bed was so comfy and the pillows were just like home. It was exactly what we needed and would highly recommend this place I. The future.

Our stay was just as we hoped for , weather cooperated, spent two lovely afternoons sitting on the deck overlooking the ocean across the road . A beautifully well cared for property , with everything you would need to enjoy a wonderful stay . Comfortable beds , fully equipped kitchen , clean and tasteful,charming .

Another great stay. The kitchen has all the amenities you would need. The place is clean and welcoming with comfortable beds, lovely big bathrooms. But the best part of the stay are the evenings out on the deck watching the ever changing views across the Minas basin over to Cape Blomidon where the setting sun provides spectacular sunsets every evening and if you’re lucky you’ll catch sight of the bald eagles that live nearby

Very cozy place! It was right by the water with a beautiful view. Very convenient as well. We were about a 30 minutes drive from Downtown Halifax. Ashley was very responsive and helpful. Beautiful place and amazing host! I'd stay there again. :)

My husband and I had a lovely time.the water was beautiful,we loved the deck swings.everything was very clean and tidy.good communication.

We had a wonderful stay at this property - 8 family members on a girls weekend! The house was beautiful, better than the pictures. The kitchen/living room/dining room space was ideal for games, cooking and lots of fun. Everything was so clean and ready to use. Kim was super responsive with any questions I had and everything was really smooth. I would stay here again! It's useful to note for prospective guests - there is a 1-bedroom guesthouse directly behind the main house which does lie between the house and the yard/view, so it didn't feel quite as private as I thought it would be. But - we were there on a rainy weekend, so our group and the guesthouse renters stayed inside all weekend and it was like they weren't even there! I would suggest if you are renting this space for outdoor space, it might not suit those needs. Overall a lovely place to stay and we had a fabulous weekend.

Shobac farm is a unique architectural and farm experience. It was great to have gaffs point and Hirtle’s beach within hiking distance. The sheep were a constant fascination for our pup. Appreciated having access to a lap pool, steam shower and sauna. Thoroughly enjoyed having a wood fire and enjoying and vast country side views from the gatehouse.

We had 7 people travelling together and this place had all the room and amenities we needed. Big kitchen to cook in, great common area to relax in together and a fabulous view of the lake. It was early in the season so too cold to use the pool but it looked like it would be great. Thanks for having us!

I had a wonderful birthday weekend here. My friends and I had the best time. Would recommend to anyone.

PAM & J.P were extraordinary. We were delighted with our stay and fell in love with Nova Scotia. The animals were an unexpected extra. Gustave is going to miss Maple a lot. Small comment WHICH IS NOT A CRITICISM. The refrigerator is not very big, so don't do too much grocery shopping at once. We arrived with too many things and not everything fit. But again, that's okay. There's a grocery store not far away. It's very easy. Just don't plan too far ahead if you have a big family like mine. The pool is amazing!!!!! Close to lots of beautiful beaches. We had a great time with the family!!!

Fantastic hosts. Dream heritage property with total privacy and a heated pool in a park like setting; we booked that property pretty much every year for the last seven years. Rob and Barb are constantly improving the property, there is always something new to discover, whether it's a new appliance, or a brand new landscaped river frontage inviting you to sit and watch river and ocean life whilst sipping a glass of tasty red provided with the welcome basket. We enjoyed eating out at the Lunenburg restaurants, as much as we enjoyed cooking a delicious meal at their place, which is fully equipped, one can easily cook up a gourmet meal. Golden! we absolutely loved our stay in the cottages! We were able to use a lot of their amenities, Kayaks, boat, pool.. it was so much fun and we made some great memories as a family! Thank you to Katelyn for the great cottage and customer service, we hope to come back again :)

David’s property overlooking Shad Bay is a gem with a wonderful view! The kitchen was well stocked, and he even provided a dozen eggs, juice and bread should one desire a hearty breakfast to cook on a two burner induction hot plate. The kitchen, while large, is not designed to cook full dinners. The bed was very comfortable. David’s decorating style is eclectic with a good dose of contemporary mixed in with traditional furnishings and the art taking center stage. David greeted us upon arrival and we spoke with him every morning. We had delightful conversation. A highlight for us was interacting with Molly and Peaches, a small poodle and a large doodle. We would highly recommend David’s accommodation!

This place was so charming and perfect for what we needed. We we just stopping for the night. We could see ourselves staying here again maybe for longer next time. Peggy’s cove, Lunenburg and the Swiss air site were all within an hour. You won’t find a more friendly accompanying host. We got in fairly late and Steve was up. He had messaged us a few hours before to let us know the space was ready whenever we got there. He was helpful with suggestions and even left a little basket with some treats for us and our dog.

Log cabins at Hubbards are great! It was a perfect place to stay with friends for a weekend wedding at the Shore Club. Staff at the office were very friendly and even helped us out with poop bags that we forgot and a later check-out. Classic cottage vibes.

Our stay at Mallard at Church Lake was fantastic! The A-frame design is stunning with beautiful decor throughout. The kitchen setup was perfect, and we loved using the outdoor grill for lakeside meals. As birding enthusiasts, we added many new species to our Life List and learned fascinating details about mallard duck behavior and life cycles. The location is a nature lover's dream. What really set this property apart were the excellent accessibility features (wheelchair ramp, no-threshold shower, seamless floor transitions, etc., which accommodated our disabilities. The hosts were communicative before and during our stay, making everything seamless. We enjoyed canoeing and paddleboarding during the day and incredible stargazing at night under clear skies. This property offers the perfect blend of comfort, accessibility, and natural beauty. We'd absolutely stay again and highly recommend it to other travellers, especially those needing accessible accommodations!

We had a wonderful stay af Ethel's! she had do many nice touches, duch as many toys for kids. we would highly recommend staying here!

We really enjoyed our stay at Emerson’s trailer! It was in a perfect location overlooking the beach! It was within walking distance to Cleveland beach and about a 5 min drive to Queensland and other beaches. The trailer its self was in good working condition and very clean . There were tight corners in the bathroom and bedroom but that’s to be expected with a trailer so we didn’t mind at all. We do have a few suggestions for the trailer: my partner and I were looking for baking sheet pans, a cheese grater and mixing bowls to make our meals with. As well as more comfortable lounge deck chairs to sit outside longer. By incorporating these kitchen items and chairs this would allow guests more options to cook in the trailer and sit outside to take in the view. Overall, Emerson was very friendly, helpful and responded quickly. We highly recommend his place and we hope to return soon!

Beautiful layout. Felt like a five star hotel. Nature trail right out our door very very clean! Amazing!
