Family-friendly vacation rentals in Hubbards

Such a beautiful AirBnB. It was perfect for our family of 6 adults and 1 infant. Spacious and wonderful views. The kitchen was perfect for preparing meals. Lots of outdoor sitting areas, and we enjoyed the hot tub, outdoor fireplace and canoeing. A great location for exploring Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, and several beaches. Melissa was a wonderful host 😊. You won’t regret staying at Three Sheep’s to the Wind.

We had the pleasure to stay for the month of August. Great location overlooking a lake, just a short walk to a small quiet beach on the ocean. An old railway track converted to biking/walking path close by. Close to groceries and restaurants. Great location for day trips to Peggy’s cove/Halifax boardwalk/many parks and beaches. The home had everything you need. Just bring your swim trunks and spirit of adventure. We highly recommend a stay at this lovely spot.

We came for the Hunter Moon and fell in love with the sunsets and walking on the beach. Lots of places to explore in the area.

This was our daughters first vacation out of the province so we were unsure of how it would go as she had just turned 4. We had such a lovely stay at Sarah's cozy lakefront cottage! It was peaceful and quiet — the perfect spot to relax and recharge. The location was great, with easy access to nearby attractions and some beautiful beaches close by as well as some others 1-2 hrs drive away. The host was friendly and made us feel right at home. The beds were really comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep after days spent exploring. Our daughter was thrilled with all the toys available, and we really enjoyed the selection of board games for some fun family evenings. We’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a calm, family-friendly getaway. We’d love to come back some day - our daughter did not want to come home.

Our second summer stay was just as wonderful as the first. More familiar this time, so the whole family felt right at home. Chris was once again very warm and welcoming in his communications. Look forward to our third stay next year if we can be so fortunate.

What a beautiful location. The suite had everything we needed and we fell asleep to the sound of the surf. Need to go back and stay longer!

We rented the tent and cabin as a group of four and had a lovely stay- the cabin was a good place to warm up in May and the tent is well equipped with a full bed, lighting, battery pack. The hot tub was a great place to unwind. Loved seeing the goats, guinea fowl, a bunny, and pups on the property and Heather was a great host!

Most of what I'm saying is echoing what other Guests have said - it's all still true for 2024: Morry is great to work with, cottage is clean and well-equipped,  the views here are wonderful, beds are comfy and the layout worked well for us with the two main floor bedrooms on opposite sides.  The kitchen is a good size and the two full bathrooms are like new. There's a great hike trailhead a stone's throw away and, if you haven't already, you will fall in love with Prospect, NS!!

This place was just what we needed for our stay in Halifax. We were within walking distance of local restaurants and a cycle shop where we could rent bikes. The inside was cosy, clean, and really made you feel welcome. Andrea was responsive and a lovely host! Would definitely recommend. :)

Our team had the best stay! Daniel's place is very spacious with super comfortable beds. We loved cooking in the kitchen and it has everything you could need for a stay away from home. The hosts were super quick at responding to any of our questions. Thank you for accommodating our large group and hopefully we'll be back again soon:)

Catherine's place was excellent and she is a great host! She was very responsive and helpful before, during and after booking. She happily accomodated our special requests. Her place is very thoughtfully designed and stocked with everything you could need (better than any other air bnb I've been to!). Lots of nice personal and local touches as well. It is located in a great area - quiet, beautiful beach, and awesome coastal hike. You will not be disappointed! Thank you, Catherine!

Gerry is an excellent host. He is caring and full of attentions. His tips are super useful. He cares about your wellbeing. He sure does the extra mile to make your stay unforgettable. He has done a lot for me. I definitely recommend.

We had a great stay in this quaint coastal town of Conquerall Bank along the LaHave River at this cottage. The space provided was ample and the view from the rooms was amazing. We felt very welcomed by Marc and his pup Austin the first day. He told us about many things to do in the area and we highly recommend the Lahave Bakery a short drive away for breakfast. The cottage is very centrally located along Nova Scotias South Shore and was a great relaxing midpoint for our trip to Cape Breton. We were able to explore the area and ended up at Cresent beach around dusk and it was absolutely stunning. Highly recommend this host and property. (note: The cottage is part of the Lighthouse Motel Properties but is secluded and detached from any other guests - all very well maintained and a pleasure to stay at.)

We had an incredible trip at Candace's place. The home was stunning and was perfect for our group of 6. If you have the opportunity to book your trip to Halifax here, I would definitely recommend!

PAM & J.P were extraordinary. We were delighted with our stay and fell in love with Nova Scotia. The animals were an unexpected extra. Gustave is going to miss Maple a lot. Small comment WHICH IS NOT A CRITICISM. The refrigerator is not very big, so don't do too much grocery shopping at once. We arrived with too many things and not everything fit. But again, that's okay. There's a grocery store not far away. It's very easy. Just don't plan too far ahead if you have a big family like mine. The pool is amazing!!!!! Close to lots of beautiful beaches. We had a great time with the family!!!

The place was great and very spacious for my whole family to stay. We were a family of 7 adults and 1 baby and it accommodated us just fine with plenty of room. Stephen was a great host and was very responsive to any needs or questions that I had. Would definitely stay again.

The spot was perfect for us, a great little cottage by the lake. The lake was gorgeous! Chris was very responsive for all of our changes in schedule and questions we had and even left us a little welcome gift of some snacks and drinks. It was incredible and we would stay there again! also it is much closer to Halifax than you think! Turn on tolls when looking because everyone uses the toll bridge and it's just 1.25$ at time of writing and it saves 20 minutes to get into Halifax!

We loved staying here!!! It’s a beautiful little space and we felt right at home. I love the little charm in the bedroom that puts rainbows on the walls when the light shines through it. Cozy and thoughtful decorating!!!

We loved Dawn’s place! Dawn was a great host and very responsive. We travelled here by plane with kids and were pleasantly surprised with the amount of toys/books/kids items that were available to us. There was lots of room inside and outside. Would recommend this place to anyone and would certainly return.

I had a fantastic time at Catherine's place! She provided plenty of guidance on places to go, and each one was exceptional. She both met me when I arrived and said goodbye when leaving, and she made sure that I had everything I needed. I had to make a sudden last minute change to my booking and she was very accommodating. I would highly recommend staying here.

Perfect location, a short walk to all amenities and sights. The studio apartment was beautiful with a great view! Tim and Ashley were very responsive and helpful. Will be back :)

We had a fabulous 2 week vacation at the Blue Heron guest house in Tantallon. We wished it could of been longer! Great hosts, very helpful and accommodating. Spectacular views especially loved watching the seals. Would 100% recommend!!

A truly magical place. Location is ideal to visit so many different towns, trails and excursions. However, starting the morning off on the deck watching the sunrise and then ending the day cooking on the BBQ. The house is fully equipped with every kitchen gadget needed. 3 good sized bedrooms with comfortable mattresses. There is a wonderful community feeling.
