This is a good spot. I stayed here with my two kids for 4 nights. One night was loud, the other 3 nights were quiet. The house is large and rustic. It sometimes felt hot and there were mosquitos, which was expected. The location is remote which we liked. You can swim from the property, but watch out for coral and sea cucumbers (like most places on the island). Vetea lives on the property next to the rental. He's a lovely host, happy to help and also not overbearing. It was fun to be with him and his family. We are super appreciative.

An absolutely great stay! Dream 🌞 welcome at Caroline and Philippe's, two people with huge hearts. Caroline, you're a golden girl, I immediately felt at home, and that's rare. And of course, I don't forget Philippe (so there are no jealous people!😉), with whom I learned a lot about Polynesia. Both were attentive, available, generous, in short... an extraordinary experience that touched me deeply. The accommodation is simple, no frills – and that's exactly what makes the experience so beautiful. We're here to experience the real Polynesia, not 5-star hotels. And frankly, with a sea view like that, what more do we need? You have to know how to live simply, stop worrying, and especially stop complaining when you already have the essentials in front of you. If you're looking for authenticity and beautiful human encounters: go for it. I didn't feel like leaving 💛

This house and island were wonderful! Raphael picked us up at the airport and gave us a car to use during our stay as soon as we arrived. It was soooo nice. The location is amazing. The yard space was wonderful. The island is gorgeous and very friendly. Loved our stay here!

Purotu is the nicest person and cares about her guests. She helped us book a snorkeling excursion (we tried for a few hours before with no luck). If you're easily bitten by mosquitoes, get mosquito repellent coils at the store. Purotu gave me a few and they were a life changer. The house is as described and has a local vibe and access to the beach.

We really fell in love with this beautiful and spacious house, perfectly integrated into nature, with a small sea view from the large terrace, very nice and comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the rooms, protected by mosquito nets (essential given the presence of mosquitoes and no-nos), offer good comfort. Important tip: the GPS point shown is not completely accurate. Do not enter the village of Haapu, but continue further south; a sign on the side of the road will show you the house at the right time. When we got there, everything was perfect. Car essential to fully enjoy the stay, but the place is well worth the trip!

Simple, clean and above all very well located in the south of Huahine with a beautiful beach 10m from the accommodation. There is another one 5 minutes walk as well as several restaurants/snacks. The supermarket and petrol stations are in town about a 25 minute drive away. Our 3 nights at Maheana's went very well, Maheana is a very kind and accommodating host. I recommend this place for anyone looking for a simple and quiet place in Huahine.

What a get away! So private and peaceful. It really is a good way to start your holiday, from 5th gear to 1st gear in 3days. We enjoyed some of the most beautiful snorkeling! Reading a book on the terrace with the best view one can get. Walked along the coast, but not soo easy, although fully worth it, only "disturbance" was crabs and birds. There are NO mosquito nets, and you cannot stand having windows closed in the heat, so briging mosquito repellant is a MUST. It would be a huge improvement if mosquito nets were installed, at least in the bedroom for peaceful sleep. We strongly recommend using this airbnb

Great welcome upon arrival of the ferry. Welcome flower necklace and shell necklace on departure🥰. The rental car included in the price is a real plus. It had rained a lot in the last few weeks, so there were a lot of mosquitoes. The island really requires a car for travel. 🙏
