This was the most I paid for a stay during my travel through Faroe Islands but we would not have missed it. The beauty of the location in general but especially at 4am with nobody else around is something we will remember for a long time. To stay in such an authentic turf house with so many nice touches to make it comfortable was a lovely opportunity. Every detail was covered…the mini bar was a nice surprise!! Thank you

Lovely cabin and really nice views of the fjord. Kitchen was well-equipped. Toilet/shower a bit older than the rest of the cabin but worked well.

This little cottage was absolutely perfect for our stay in the Faroe Islands. We sat and had coffee in the sunroom every morning and watched the waves. The hot tub was amazing, even with the drizzly weather. Leynar was a a calm and peaceful home base for our trip and it was easy to hop back on the highway and go wherever we needed. Everything in the house was as described and the kitchen was very useful! The beds were pretty comfy too!

The view from Steinbjorn’s home is quite possibly the most beautiful vista I have experienced anywhere in the World. They say location is everything, and I don’t believe my experience of the Faroe Islands would have been as good had I stayed anywhere else. The solitude of Elduvík was perfect for my solo mountain biking trip, the pink sunsets at Midnight incredible, and the hot tub after a few hours on the bike the icing on the cake. The lounge and dining room are spacious and well appointed, the kitchen clean and well provisioned. I had the pleasure of meeting Steinbjorn when I arrived at the house. He is a friendly chap and is clearly proud of his home. Communication with him both prior to, and during my trip was superb, lots of recommendations for places to visit, and information regarding the village. Steinbjorn was also very attentive to any queries I had whilst at the house. I could not have hoped for a better experience.

Absolutely gorgeous surroundings. The place was cozy, comfortable and had all the amenities we would have wanted.

We greatly enjoyed our week's stay in this delightful farm cottage. After each full day's outings, it was wonderful to return to this warm, cozy cottage with its lovely views over the hills. It is described accurately on the website, is very clean and comfortable and the kitchen well-equipped. Its location makes it easy to go anywhere on the islands. Tórður was a most helpful host. We would happily stay here again on a future visit.

We had some lovely days in Torshavn at this home. It is very central and with a short walk to the city center and good bus connections. There are great views from the apartment beyond Tinganes and the sea, but without being clumsy of the industrial port. A really good place to stay in Torshavn.

We had such a wonderful stay! The location is wonderful for exploring Vagar and right near the local football pitch and beach. The house is very comfortable and makes you feel at home.

The cottage is in a beautiful location and was a very comfortable stay. Tjornuvik is a great base for exploring the islands.

Great location, clean and comfortable.

This home probably has the best views in the Faroe Islands - just steps from the water with unobstructed views in every direction. The home is not fancy, but it was clean and comfortable and the location made up for the less-than-fancy bathroom. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The walk up the hill was a great way to get in a couple minutes of cardio each day. :)

Leivur, Tom and Andrea, without hyperbole were some of the best hosts I’ve ever had. Very responsive from the beginning, eager to provide personal recommendations which I’ve ended up using for my itinerary. When I met Andrea in-person, felt like an old friend, very welcoming and personable. The location is fantastic, it’s quieter and feels more authentic than Torshavn, whilst being close to key sites in Vagar and easy to reach from the airport. The area is very walkable and flat out stunning. The house is stocked with multiple spares of amenities (soaps, face towels etc), was spotless, spacious double bedroom. My favourite part was the kitchen, which had a nice seating area using the original table from the first time the place was built, looking out over the bay. Plenty of cookware and I could go on. It is a true gem, I cannot fault it and has been one of the best experiences I’ve had, period. Would recommend anyone who gets the chance to stay here.

A real home from home in the peace and quiet of the Faroe fjords

Stayed at this house for several nights, and it was exactly as described. Holger and Sylvia provided many brochures and suggestions regarding things to do in the area, and we're very quick to respond to messages. The house is spacious and was very clean.
