Monthly Rentals in Howtown

This place has beautiful views of Ullswater across the gardens day and night, a comfortable bed, suitably equipped kitchen area, and feels well located for exploring around the local area. We had a lovely few days here getting out in nature, and enjoyed a meal at the Inn on the lake in Glenrriding 15 mins away, and a Sunday dinner at the Brakenrigg pub at the bottom of the road. There’s waterfalls, walks and boat rides all within a short drive, and Matt got in touch via message and email prior to our stay, so we felt there would be communication if there was anything we needed.

Great stay in Watermillock. Charlie was very helpful and responsive ahead of our arrival and accommodated a baby high chair and cot for us. The kitchen was well equipped and meant we could cook each night. Perfect location for Ullswater and the walkable bar and fish and chip shop up the hill were great.

We stayed here for my mums 60th birthday, and enjoyed every second of it! The house was perfect with plenty of space for 6 adults and a large dog. We had a surprise visit from some sheep in the garden one morning which was lovely. The only thing missing was some garden furniture to relax on after our long hikes ! Would definitely recommend.

Superhost doesn't capture it. It was such a pleasure to stay at The Byre and lovely to meet Victoria. We can clearly say it was the best Air BnB experience we've ever had. Such care must have gone into the renovation and furnishing of the property, from the large airy upstairs kitchen/diner/living room to the handcrafted live edge furniture. The location in Matterdale End was beautiful. We were even able to go fellwalking directly from the house - just a few feet up to the church, then left onto the public footpath and on up to the top of Sheffield Pike and many more summits from there. We can recommend this Air BnB venue wholeheartedly. Thank you Victoria and Jim!
