How could I not give 5 stars to everything. Loved, loved, loved it. Hazel and Phil were fabulous hosts. The house was so beautiful and everything you needed was there. The animals were so well cared for and you can see how passionate Hazel and Phil are about caring for them. The surrounding countryside is so peaceful and pretty. It was a very special find and would love to stay again when I return. Would absolutely recommend it.

Joanne’s place is very comfortable and just a short walk from the village centre. The breakfast in the cafe on site was delicious. Joanne was very welcoming. We will stay again when back in the area.

Honeysuckle Cottage

Nice comfortable stay. Perfect base for visiting the places we had planned. Would recommend booking a table at the local pub, 30 seconds down the road. Don’t be put off by this as there was no noise or disturbances. Lovely playground a short walk away.

Snowdrop Cottage

AmyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Snowdrop cottage. It was just what we needed! The cottage is in a lovely quiet village with a pub and deli/cafe just a 2 min walk away. It is set in beautiful, peaceful surroundings. The cakes on arrival were a lovely touch! The cottage is very well equipped and has everything you should need. There’s even useful toiletries in the bathroom. Adam has thought of everything. Adam has been very helpful and attentive with messages about the local area as well. The decor and furnishings are to a very high standard and we were made to feel at home. The four poster bed is very comfy and loved the luxurious bedding! The hot tub was very relaxing and very much needed. We can’t fault any of it! It was superb. Thank you again and we will definitely be back again very soon. Amy, Ashley & Teddy.

The Garden House in Low Catton

RachelRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The Garden House and its walled garden are beautiful! It was peaceful, private, very clean and spacious. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the house had a really homely feel. A great location only approx. 20 minutes by car to the centre of York, and the property was easy to find with thorough and helpful instructions from the hosts. We stayed here with our baby and found it to be a great space for our young family. Would highly recommend.

Luxury Cottage close to Castle Howard with hot tub

AliceRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I recently had a week long stay at Vikkis along with my mum and the dog. The cottage itself was pristinely clean with some lovely welcoming touches from Vikki that were super helpful. Vikkis instructions on things like parking made arrival a breeze. Everything was clean and well presented. Over the course of the week we felt like there were a couple of things that could have been helpful for example there was only one chopping board - which if you were cooking a meal during your stay made things logistically tricky but generally everything else you would need was there ! The location is fantastic for exploring locally and the wider area with the farm shop up at castle Howard and other local gems like the coffee shop in the village making for a lovely stay
