Take a vacation on historic grounds. Since about 1848, the old forester's lodge has stood here on the ruins of Lindewitt Castle with its castle moat, of which unfortunately little remains to be seen. Owners included Count Rantzau and General von Blücher and his wife Christina Sophie Countess of Holstein-Holsteinburg. The Lindewitter forest invites you to take long walks or bike rides. The Old Canoe Hous is a lovingly furnished, open 130 square meter apartment in our thatched-roof barn with a view of the lake, the surrounding meadows and the North Frisian marsh. It is ideal for nature lovers: you can fish, canoe, cycle around the accommodation and watch the flocks of birds that use the lake, which is partly a nature reserve, as a migration and nesting site. The lake is used for windsurfing and wingfoiling.
