Directly below the property there is a river great for fishing or hiking. There is an open floor-plan that includes the kitchen, dining, and living areas and features a kitchen island for entertaining built from trees from the property. Adjacent to the dining area is a sun-room. This room is cozy with a huge window to enjoy the views across the valley, sunsets and rises, golden aspens, and wildlife. We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Blue River! The home was cozy, well-appointed, and had everything we needed for a perfect mountain retreat. The fully stocked kitchen made cooking a breeze, and the beds and linens were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after our days on the slopes. One of our favorite features was the stunning river rock fireplace—we used it daily and it made the home feel so warm and inviting. The location was also ideal, just an easy 8-mile drive to Breckenridge, giving us quick access to skiing, dining, and shopping while allowing us to enjoy the peace and beauty of Blue River.

The host was fantastic, providing thoughtful touches throughout the home, including a fully stocked kitchen, cozy fireplace, and even recommendations for local hiking trails. Whether you're looking for adventure or just a peaceful retreat, this spot has it all. Waking up to the crisp mountain air and watching the sunset from the deck was truly magical. Great stay, responsive hosts, and 20 minutes from the town and resort. As the description mentions 4 wheel drive is a must as it’s off a country road. Would 💯 stay again.

My wife and I rented this beautiful cabin for our anniversary weekend away from the city. We had such a great time and didn't want to leave!! The views are stunning and well worth the small drive from Denver. We could have spent the whole weekend at the cabin enjoying the amenities there, but wanted to go out and explore the area. If you're planning a (summer) weekend of hiking and enjoying the outdoors, there are lots of options nearby. Here are some of the things we did: Hiked Mount Royal in Frisco, Dinner at a brewery in Breckenridge, Hike Hoosier Pass loop (only a few minutes from the cabin), Exploring the downtown shops, and biking the trail between Breckenridge and Frisco. Thanks for everything, we'll be back again!!

If you are looking for a beautiful view, look no further! The pictures don’t do it justice. The kitchen had everything you would possibly need. Comfortable furniture and beds are a plus. We had everything we needed for relaxing stay. We were taking this trip to celebrate retirement, and we were very happy with our stay. It’s worth every penny! Kirk was easy to communicate with. We would definitely go back!!

We needed a space not too far away, but still felt somewhat isolated, that cultivated a sense of peace and reflection. The Hygge Chalet was more than we could have asked for. Intentionally designed for restorative rest, our times at the chalet and in nature as we explored trails and took meandering mountain drives were just what we needed. Sara was exceptional in communication and responsiveness. This may just become a tradition.
