House vacation rentals in Hood River

Great place to stay to get away! Very close to restaurants and hiking trails but still secluded enough to make you feel in the middle of the woods. Wish we could've stayed longer, was a great stay!

This stay was everything we needed. It was peaceful, relaxing, clean, beautiful, and gorgeous! The river front property allows you to hear the river with the windows open for relaxing white noise at all times. The landscape was beautiful and the house was so comfortable. Allison was kind and left very clear instructions. She was also quick to respond and help us out when we needed it! HIGHLY recommend!

My partner and I enjoyed our weekend at the cabin. The kitchen was well stocked, and had everything one would need to cook! Hot tub was great, and the bed was comfy.

An amazing, well furnished large home on the banks of a lovely river. If you are looking for an easy, access mountain retreat, or home base for skiing and hiking, you could not ask for better.

Truly a little slice of paradise! Our family and pups enjoyed every second of our stay. We spent the day by the river, cooked meals in the fully equipped kitchen, relaxed in the hot tub, and enjoyed the property and views. Cute town and friendly hosts! Highly recommend!

My family and I loved staying here! It was very close to hood river and a lot of vineyards and hikes. The house was very spacious, and it was easy to find everything we needed (towels, cups, games, etc). The whole outdoor area and location was very peaceful, we loved sitting in the hot tub and making s’mores with the fire pit in the evening. HIGHLY recommend staying here with a big group / family trip.

We stayed here to celebrate a friend’s birthday and had such a great time! The space was ideal for hanging out—comfortable, spacious, and even better than expected. We played corn hole, grilled, and soaked in the hot tub with beautiful, peaceful views all around. When we had a problem, the host was super responsive and resolved the issue right away. Such a wonderful stay—we’d love to come back, especially during the summer!

I can’t even describe the beauty of this place. Falling asleep to the sound of the river was everything we needed. The windows slide and have screens so it’s perfect. The beds were comfortable, It was clean, and the house was equipped with everything we needed. We had a blast playing the Nintendo, grilling dinner on the porch, and playing in the yard. It was far enough out to be peaceful but convenient to everything we wanted to do like Multnomah Falls. I also have to mention something that probably doesn’t matter to everyone but most places you stay give you scratchy small towels. Not this place. They are equipped with plush bath sheets. It’s those details that put this place at the top of my list! We did not want to leave!!! Thank you for an excellent stay!

We had a great experience at Eric’s townhouse! The location was perfect as it was so easy to walk into the main shopping / restaurant district in downtown Hood River. Eric was very responsive as well. Would stay here again for sure!

Great spot with really nice views that was a cozy place to rest between activities. Nice kitchen with a deck, grill and hot tub made it easy to hang around and relax. The local town of Hood River was a 10-minute drive with plenty of shops and restaurants, and the drive to downtown Portland is only about an hour. Would definitely recommend for a vacation spot away from the city but still close enough to find something fun to do.

This gorgeous home is well designed with a magnificent view of the gorge! The house had all the tools and appliances needed to cook our meals. The home was clean, peaceful, and relaxing. The beautiful nightly sunset—as we dined on the balcony—was an unexpected bonus. We spent four nights in the home and loved every minute. All the TLC put into the details of this home created a delightful experience! A big thank you to Kathryn (a great communicator) and Dave for sharing their vacation home via Airbnb!

We had a great time staying in Hood River for a wedding at this home with three adults and a toddler. The kid room was perfect for my toddler (he even provides step stools for the sinks) and the blackout shades were handy. The beds were soft and comfy and the house has plenty of storage space. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies and the back porch was perfect to store our bikes! The patio was nice. We were able to park our truck in the gravel parking area. There are many steps up to the house so make sure your party can do stairs. The road noise is apparent especially on weekdays but I used sound machines for my toddler and our room and he also provides ear plugs! We would def stay again!

Laura’s place was even cuter than in the photos and very clean/tidy. Both the front and back have pleasant outdoor lounging areas. She was a responsive hostess and even brought over a new hair dryer when we couldn’t find one. There’s very easy access to Hood River and alm the beauty around it!

This is a spectacular rental in the heart of Hood River! The home was beyond comfortable, extremely walkable to all of the good restaurants and bars in town, and provides a stunning view of the river.

My friends and I had a great stay at Kevin’s house - this was our second stay there. There was plenty of room for us to spread out and the covered patio was a fantastic place for a post-ride happy hour. We loved being able to walk up the street to restaurants and coffee shops, too.

In the world of Airbnb, my experience of late is a lot of listings overpromise by using photos that exaggerate and/or are dated by years. I’ve had several in the last year that had me anticipating luxury and delivered something far from. Bruce’s place is fair and accurate. The location, relative to Hood River is awesome! His photos and descriptions are accurate. It’s a bit different in that he doesn’t try to hide that you’re staying in a house someone generally lives in, but again, all that shows up honestly in his listing. The photos are also honest. I’d stay there again.

WOW, nice little gem we. And across when I saw this listing. We loved it so much we stayed another extra day. The place is clean and so relaxing. We will be back for sure.

I couldn’t imagine a better Airbnb while staying at Mt Hood. The home is absolutely gorgeous, extremely well cared for, pristinely clean, conveniently located a block from grocery options and a short drive to the primary areas to play on the mountain such as skibowl, Timberline and Meadows… it’s the perfect home-base for your Mt Hood gateway.

The cabin was just what we wanted. Beautifully surrounded by the forest with gorgeous views of the river and plenty to explore. We enjoyed the easy fireplace, walked in the river just steps away, and hiked the multiple water falls just down the road. Kitchen had everything we needed for specially planned meals and the place was comfy in each room.

The house was perfect for three generations. The grandparents had a first floorbedroom room and the parents and two children had the upstairs. This is a beautiful home removated with taste. We all enjoyed the neighborhood and took walks around the treelined streets. This location is charming. Maury is easy to reach and responds quickly. I would stay in this lovely house anytime I returned to beautiful Hood River.

Fantastic home!!! Beautifully set up in the trees. The light and windows were magical. One of the most fabulous homes I’ve ever enjoyed.
