Fill the industrial-style interior of soaring ceilings and century-old pillars with the sounds of vintage vinyl. Please inform yourself on updates for Covid 19 in Hood River County prior to travel. License #678 Cool Industrial feel, cement floors, soaring ceilings, 100 year old brick and cement pillars. Modern yet cozy furnishings. There a record player with vintage vinyl. Gourmet kitchen. Fun, hip vibe, right in the middle of town. Walk to everything. The roof top deck is everyone’s favorite. Guests will have access to the entire loft. You'll have street parking permits as well as access to the garage to store bicycles and other important items. We don't provide access to the garage for automobiles due to the risk of providing garage door opener and tight corner for parking (you'll see what we mean). I’m here if you need me. Feel free to ask me about restaurants or things to do. I’m happy to share information about the area with you. And of course any questions about the loft just text or give me a call. Sense the industrial past of this location by the old train tracks in the center of downtown. Go for a run in the nearby waterfront park, with shops, restaurants, and breweries also nearby. Hit the ski slopes at Mount Hood, only 30 minutes away. Parking for our loft is best just right on the street. We offer meter passes for street parking. It is very important to remember to return these passes upon your departure so the next guests will also have free parking. There is a fine for losing or leaving with the parking passes and not returning them to the loft upon your check out. Walking distance to everything in downtown Hood River and the Columbia River. Great cafes, breweries, wine tasting rooms, and restaurants just minutes away. Double Mountain Brewery and Full Sail Brewery are a block away.

Cabin 43 on the White Salmon River
Cabin 43 is a new home we built ourselves located right on the wild and scenic White Salmon river. We finished this project (June, 2020) and are excited to share this beautiful place with guests. It features a King bed in 1 room and 2 twin beds in the 2nd bedroom which can be pushed together to make a 2nd king bed. We live in a cluster of 8 other cabins down gravel road in a very serene forest setting with a large field out front and private river side walking trails.

Elsie's View: Cozy Vintage/Modern Cabin
Our 1920s cabin is nestled in the woods along the White Salmon River. 4 people max and be sure to read details about sleeping arrangements. We are best for 1 or 2 adult couples (one queen and one full bed are upstairs in each bedroom, and one full size couch is downstairs). A couple with 1-2 kids can easily work too. What doesn’t work are 4 adults who need to sleep separately - that means doubling up in one of the beds. Well-behaved dogs okay with advance notice.

Cozy Guest Home in Downtown White Salmon
Enjoy a cozy getaway with your own private entrance in the beautiful town of White Salmon. A new queen bed was replaced from a full bed to make most comfortable. We ask that guests respect our neighbors by keeping distance and parking your cars directly in front of the property. This cozy one-bedroom guest unit is very clean, newly built, and decorated with charm. White Salmon is a small town up a short hill from the bridge to Hood River.

All about Hood River
Just an hour east of Portland in the Columbia River Gorge is the small port city that shares a name with its nearby body of water: Hood River, one of the top wind-sport destinations in the world. The combination of dry and warm desert air from eastern Oregon with wet weather from the Pacific Ocean creates a wind-tunnel effect that’s perfect for windsurfing and kite surfing. Hood River is also strategically located for skiing on nearby Mount Hood, while the area offers scenic hikes, challenging mountain-biking trails, picturesque golfing, and thrilling whitewater rafting.
Hood River hosts a thriving food and drink scene, too, with apples, pears, and cherries up for tasting at dozens of local orchards. In the summer and fall, these orchards attract numerous visitors who grab bags and baskets of fresh produce, along with baked goods and ciders made at local farms.
Several of Oregon’s most popular craft breweries, cideries, and wineries are located in Hood River, some of which have incredible dining options alongside opportunities to taste their award-winning creations.
What are the top things to do in Hood River?
Hood River Fruit Loop
This scenic 35-mile drive through farmland and forests takes in nearly three dozen member stands offering wines, fruits, vegetables, flowers, ciders, and other goodies. There’s a handy downloadable map for a self-guided tour, and what’s available varies by the harvest month. Blueberries are freshest during late summer and pears during the fall, but you can buy treats like huckleberry milkshakes and pumpkin pies on a daily basis throughout harvest time.
Post Canyon
Drive south for 30 minutes to reach the network of mountain hiking and biking trails in the Post Canyon area, which intersect over tree-lined dirt paths that can become muddy after a bit of rainfall. Hop on your bike and navigate through the wooded area, choosing easier or more strenuous trails. With an elevation peak of 3,400 feet, the views from the top are guaranteed to be breathtaking.

The century-old Mount Hood Railroad starts right in downtown Hood River. This shortline heritage railroad offers round-trip excursions through northern Oregon, with views of snow-capped Mount Hood and the Columbia River Gorge. In winter, the Mt.
