Vacation rentals with beach access in Honshu

this was our second time staying here, and we had an amazing stay once again. the accommodation is super clean and looks just like the pictures. the area is peaceful, with plenty of places to eat at. it’s a short walk to the convenience stores and the train station as well, which has a nice grocery store located next to it. the host is very nice and responds quickly; he also gave us great recommendations. overall this is a great accommodation and we would definitely recommend this place to other people.

Airi was very friendly and helpful, we stayed at her apartment, which was lovely and had a beautiful view of the sea. The surroundings were spectacular but maybe were bit difficult to move by foot, but there were busses that connected to shimoda station.

We really loved our stay here. The space is small but we’ll organized and. Comfortable, with room for your belongings. The place was spotless and the location was perfect for everything. We would come back again.

Two of us stayed for 2 nights, but it was a very clean, comfortable and functional room.The parking lot was easy to find, and the convenience store was just a minute's walk away, which was convenient.I cooked my own meals, and although the kitchen was small, it had everything I needed, and there was also a washing machine, so it was a pleasant place to stay.The bath is small, but it is a famous hot spring area, so it is recommended to enjoy the bath outside.Also, the unit bath is small, but it has a dryer function, so even though my clothes got quite wet in the rain this time, they dried quickly.There is also a clothesline hanging from the ceiling in the bedroom, so it was useful for drying clothes after washing.It was quiet and warm with double glazed windows.Also, by putting a carry-on under the bed, we were able to use the room more freely, and although it was a relatively small room, two adults had a comfortable stay.Thank you!

Ken’s apartment is wonderful. It has all the amenities required for a family stay. We were able to cook our dinner and breakfast, do laundry (washing and dryer included). The place is strategic, very short walking distance to Enoden Yanagikoji Station. We parked our car at the house and take the train to explore Kamakura area. It was a perfect house for us. The weather was bad this time, and I didn't see the beautiful sea, but the second floor of the Host's house faces the sea. If the weather is good, or if you go in summer, you can feel the sea when you open the curtains, it will be beautiful!Check in again next time

It was nice that it was very clean.

The stay at Khaki's place was fabulous. Khaki picked us up at the train station and took us through town and up the hill to the AirBnb that overlooked the town. It's such a beautiful peaceful setting not far from town. The kitchen was nicely stocked, bath was lovely. We got to visit his parents' sweet potato field, got delicious fresh greens and daikon from the garden and and learned about flowers with his mother. I highly recommend the pottery experience. Khaki is a great and patient instructor. Visit the gallery to see the exquisite pottery his family makes, that is reasonably priced. I bought a wall vase and spoons and can't wait to display them. Absolutely go to the Hutte Restaurant right on the premises. It was one of the best meals I had in Japan. The restaurant itself is beyond cute and interesting, with such unique decorations and atmosphere. We went to the Kojima Jeans area and wish we had also gotten to the temple in town. The tempura place Khaki recommended was amazing

Unfortunately, I was unable to stay at Ume no inn this time, but the accommodation you introduced was also very wonderful. It's a waste for two people, and you can't enjoy it for one night! The weather was bad at night, but the next morning it was sunny and I was able to relax in the large garden until I checked out. It was nice to be able to dry the diving equipment.The stray cats came to visit and I was healed.🐱 This time, I want to visit Ume-no-juku again and play with the dogs and cats and chickens!

This is my second time staying at this lovely house, and once again, it exceeded my expectations. The place is spotlessly clean, with a peaceful and beautiful surrounding that makes it perfect for a relaxing getaway. Rie is incredibly kind, thoughtful, and always ready to help. This time, I didn’t venture out much and instead spent most of my time enjoying the comfort and calm of the house itself. It truly feels like a home away from home. I would definitely love to come back again!

Magnificent view of Mount Fuji. Well equipped rooms and Kitchen. Spacious bedrooms. Good start a new day with breakfast on the terrace. Very clear check in and check out instruction.

We have been using it every year since 2020, when Nagasomari Uozumaru was opened. This year, it was as clean and tidy as when it first opened 5 years ago, and it was very comfortable to use I was able to do it. I am very grateful for the management of the facility. Also, we have changed the usage reservation schedule due to the circumstances of the members. Thank you very much for responding quickly and appropriately to this change. I will use it again in July this year, and I hope to use it again next time. I'll do it. It is so comfortable that I plan to use it every year after this.

The location is great, and it's the best place to stay for a surf trip. The optional meat and side dishes were also great!

Lovely place. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Host was flexible with my check in time as I wasn’t sure what time I arrived til I got on the train. As it was raining on the day I left, host was kind enough to offer to drive me to train station as well as work out the train timetable for me. I couldn’t have asked for a lovelier experience.

The condo is located right off the main drag and directly across from a semi-private cove of one of the best beaches in Shimoda! The photos are true to life, the place was in pristine condition, all appliances worked out perfectly, and the bedding was super comfortable! Cheryl is a great hostess! The one thing we wish we could have changed was the weather, as it was misty and windy during our stay, and then of course, the sun popped out the day we had to leave :( Hoping we can get a do-over and land Cheryl's place again some day!

This place was great! Right next to the beach, nice views, and in a really cute, peaceful area. It’s close to a train station, so wasn’t hard to get our luggage to and the place was clean and comfortable. Would stay here again!

The messaging was smooth and they even arranged a sashimi boat. The location is also ideal and recommended for families and large groups.

The place looks exactly like the pictures, clean and nice! We have 7 people, everyone is happy about the place. You can wash the clothes and dry them in the bathroom with dry fans. The location is great, 7 mins walk to both train stations. Wifi is super fast. overall, it's a good value for this place when you have bunch people.
