This house is located right below Japanese alps, where you can enjoy outdoor in mountains, rivers and lakes throughout four seasons. We moved to this area from Tokyo because this area is not commercialized, but intact from urbanization. So if you are looking for something different than usual sightseeing, here could be the place to visit. This house used to be a ski ryokan, and we renovated it by ourselves with abandoned and local materials to maintain nice and old Japanese architectural taste.

Filled with beautiful landscapes of Japanese farming lands and mountains which are enjoyable throughout the seasons. Our 130 year-old traditional Japanese house has been renovated for your comfort while holding onto its history. Renewed as a duplex house! This Solar Energy House is in the quiet residential area 3-minutes-walk from Zenkoji-Temple. It's very comfortable, using natural material insulators. Hosts live on the second floor and the entire first floor is for guests. The main entrance is shared with us and guests can ask anytime. Enjoy the relaxing wooden interior and solid wood floor.
